December 30th, 2023 03:32 PM #121Sharing you my experience with my Toyota Innova 2017....
I just installed an Astral 13inch HU, 4G RAM, 64GB ROM. I paid 22k with free rear camera installation and free plastic dashboard frame that fits to the 9inch extension frame that comes with the HU. I haven't checked if the specs are true and I'll update this post once I've tried it.
Astral branch: EDSA Cubao at the Clean Fuel Gas Station.
Service: excellent, fast, and they really know what they were doing. The rear camera needed splicing from the reverse lights.
Actual HU: actual screen size is 12.9inch, as per barcode label but marketed as 13inch. Most likely the 13inch advertised included the border of the unit. Crisps 2K resolution naman, 1920x1200 resolution. Has 3 height levels, I choose the middle height because when it is really high it covers the hazard button, and when it is low it obstruct he A/C controls. Even with the middle height, the hazard control is difficult to press since it's nearly obstructed.
Free rear camera: is not HD. Not very clear resolution. The technician was saying this is not compatible with HD camera. They suggest that I purchase a rear camera with night vision.
360 Camera: Supported out of the box. But I didn't purchase from Astral. I didn't want to have my side mirror to have a hole. Maybe in the future if I change my mind, I might buy those side camera and activate the 360
camera.
Steering wheel control: programmable. My innova 2017 G variant has few controls. It worked well and was easy to program
4G antenna and GPS: supported and installed on site. I haven't
purchased a sim card for the 4G data. The GPS works well when I used Google maps. Not sure of I can use the GPS to track my car if it gets stolen because the HU only opens when you power and start the car. So, probably it can Tract when the car is moving and engine is open. Android Auto/iOS Carplay: Supported.
DSP: Supported, was able to enhanced the quality of my stock stereo speaker. I'm not an audiophile, but it sounded good to me already.
BT: supported. Connects really fast.
Android apps: playstore is available. Netflix and Chrome installed out of the box.
Factory password: 3368
Brightness: very bright at night. So you might want to set to "0" the brightness level at night. I haven't tried in the morning.
I hope this is helpful. Sorry if this is long.
P.S. I couldn't find the OEM even with this serial number. It didn't have any manual in the box. Either the supplier removed the manual or it's really a generic HU without any. I'll keep searching.

January 2nd, 2024 01:33 PM #123Yung sa camera may settings yan particular sa camera lang. Mamimili ka pa alin kasi yung model na yan is capable of handling 360 camera.
I use carwebguru as a launcher. Maganda for me and madali navigate.

This is an XY android headunit. I would suggest checking if this has updated firmware online.
After updating the firmware, proceed to then update the apps individually (you may need to sideload APK's if the playstore doesn't give you access to some apps -- i.e. Android Auto).

January 5th, 2024 06:07 PM #125ARM A75+A55 is legit. Parang Exynos 9820/9825, or a flagship phone from 2019.
Should still be at least midrange performance even compared to devices released 2023.
If Android Auto is the problem just install all your apps on the head-unit itself and launch them directly from there.
If no one else is using the car I'd setup tethering and use bluetooth to share internet from phone to the HU to avoid the need for a separate SIM.
Car charger to prevent phone going low batt during traffic or long drives.Last edited by Dr.Kamiya; January 5th, 2024 at 06:11 PM.

I try kong install-an ng carwebguru and i explore and will post updates.
Update sa android auto and apple carplay ng stapon. Yung 8/128 na variant ko is wireless na pala for both. Mas smooth sa apple, need i off and on ang HU if ayaw mag connect sa android auto. So far very satisfied ako sa HU. Hindi ko pa na connect ung tv plus kasi need ng rca na tatluhan sa both ends and pati ung AUX extension wala parin ako.

January 6th, 2024 01:32 AM #128Mas mabilis mag connect if wireless. Di na ko ulit nag wire. Need lang i off ung bluetooth and wifi and on ulit if ayaw or turn off and on the unit then mabilis na mag connect.
Nag hotspot na lang ako from phone to HU. Ang advantage lang ng android auto is ung split screen for music and maps. Pag via bluetooth lang connected, maliit masyado ung maps pag naka open ung music menu. So far all goods na, di ko na siguro i install ung tvplus and aux. Sinira ng installer ung clip ng panel e, yoko na baklasin baka di na snug fit.
