Avanza Engine Problem

normal lang yan bos, kahit sa ibang sasakyan na naka Power Steering.
H'wag kalang mag park na naka andar makina mo at naka full turn Left or Right ang front wheel mo.
Malakas ang pressure nito na pwede tutulak sa mga o-ring at rubber seal ng power steering sa sasakyan.

hi newbie lang ako dito sa thread na ito, magshare lang po ako. Akala ko ako na ang makaka-experience ng frequent problem sa engine ng avanza coz i converted my avanza sa taxi, naka LPG kit na din sya siguro mga 2.5 years na at meron pa din nakaabang na 2 unit na gagawing taxi. For almost 2.5 years na tumatakbong taxi ang avanza 1 pa lang ang na-experience na problem sa engine, kc mostly pangilalim lang, like transmission support, stabilizer link, brakes.

Nagkaroon ako ng problem sa rpm ang avanza, nag-fluctuate (taas-baba, ) ang rpm specially pagbinuksan ang air-con. Na-experience ko ito when it reached odo reading of 100km. Akala ko may problem na ang air-con dahil on-off din sya, pero when I step on the gas lumalaban naman ang makina at parang normal, pero pagpinaandar ko namamatay ang engine. So i research sa net kung pano ma-address ang problem na ito. i found out na kailangan mo ireset ang ECU by disconnection the power supply. What i did, tinanggal ko lang ang battery connections at tinangal ang fuse ng ECU and leave it overnight.

Kinabukasan, after 15 hours I connected the battery and put the fuse in place, then started the engine and do nothing for 10min. Whhaaalaaa! it works! So just by resetting the ECU my rpm fluctuation problem was solve.
So balik normal ang operation ng taxi.

Not until it reached 140km, bumalik uli ang problem and this time i was confident to solve the problem just by resetting the ecu again. But i failed. This time it does not work, so I asked my auto-electrician friend what could be the possible electrical problem, he told me there is nothing wrong with the electrical,.. "baka madumi na ang servo mechanism, kailangan mo na linisin. So I checked the servo and found out madumi na pala maraming carbon na nakakapit, so i cleaned it using a carb cleaner,( i think you may use a gasoline or other solvent para matangal ang carbon). After cleaning and reinstallation--- again another success! may engine goes back to normal.

so guys I am not recommending na gawin nyo din ito, I just wanna share my experience with my avanza na ginawang taxi. Kung maexperience nyo din ang ganitong problem it may solve your problem or maybe not, better ask the experts sa Toyota service.

Again, i am not recommending any solution here, im just sharing my experience....

Welcome to ACP. Thank you for sharing your experience and we appreciate your help. Please continue your post if you found any irregularities in you avanza's taxi. In this matter we take this as a pointers to our car and if we encounter for this kind of troubles we can solve immediately by this information.

Sa pag linis ng makina natin specially sa throttle body,
DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER!
Obviously walang carb ang avanza natin, so BIG NO ang Carb Cleaner.
Sisirain ang mga servo/sensor sa tapang ng Carb Cleaner,
Nasira na ang FIAV ng LANCER(Direct Injector) ko dahil sa Carb Cleaner.

thanks po sa info, next time i will not use the carb cleaner.nagkataon un lang available ko, nakakasira pala yun tsk tsk tsk. yun FIAV po ba yun ang kabuohan na nasa diagram? kasi ang tinangal ko lang yun ISC servo lang at ano po magandang panglinis na safe gamitin?

ask lang din po mga Sir, bakit po? hindi po ba normal na mag fluctuates ang RPM pag bukas ang air-con natin? Newly owner lang po tayo ng Avanza and hindi ko rin po alam, napuna ko rin po yun sa RPM ko pag binubuksan ang AC, and dko rin alam if it is normal or hindi.... thanks.....

sa new avanza, iba ang fluactating rpm, tataas lang eto kung naka-on ang AC.

kay bos steelface001, parang "continues waves" kahit di naka on/off ang AC.
(same probs sa avanza taxi ng brother ko)
his car is not new, normal lang din yan na magloko ang rpm kung mis-adjust ang sensors/servos or kung contaminated na eto ng dirt.
di lang avanza ang may probs nyan, ganoon din sa lancer ko.
so nothing to worry bos rhayan_2

yup integrated sa throttle body ang FIAV
walang FIAV ang avanza ko
check mo kung ang throttle body may hose nakakabit na galing sa water line(cooling system), kung wala, walang FIAV yan.
Older or 1st gen avanza may FIAV.
Silicon Spray ang gamit ko panglinis sa ISC kung may dirt talaga.
Lithium Grease ang gamit ko pang grasa. note the white grease, lithium yan.
Silicon and Lithium spray, available yan sa ACE or Handyman.
I am not using anymore Petroleum based cleaning agent and grease,
Aside sa nasirang FIAV, nadeform din ang rubber boots ng ISC ko (lancer).
ayaw kung magsugal sa avanza...
