haay bad trip di makapag linis ng oto... lakas ng ulan! ganado pa naman...
I hate the weather today: Ulan -> stop -> buhos tubig -> dry with Elite -> ulan. Repeat same thing twice. I gave up in the end, bahala na yun watermarks. Bukas ko nalang iasikaso. I'll also see how the engine hood (Nanosil+glos) is faring against the trunk lid (nanosil+glos+Q) while the others are just.. walang protection (this is what procrastinating does to you folks)
So, at the end, it rained all day. Hay.. sana bukas hindi ganitosumasakit puso ko (drama..) joke.
This is why, given our current weather, I now always check the hourly weather forecast before cleaning or detailing the car. It isn't always accurate, but it does give a pretty good indication as to whether or not it will rain in the next half-day or so, and when. Here's where I check:
Accuweather Hourly Forecast
It's currently set to Taguig, but you can change it to your location.
Grabe im so happy with my Nanosliq + 476 + nanosliq.. Kaso im still thinking anu pa kaya magagawa ko para lalong maging durable yung 476..Preparing for rainy season..
Try to get some Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax or OCW - use that as a every-other-week (or weekly, though that's probably wasting product) boost to the wax layer. Nice thing about these two spray waxes is that they're more durable than most other spray waxes, so they offer a fair bit of protection in their own right.
From the various reviews and comparisons I've read, OCW is a fair bit more durable than UQW. So, if I was picking an LSP, OCW would be it. However, if you're looking for a booster - i.e., something to extend the durability of an existing wax or sealant layer - rather than an LSP, I'd pick - well, whichever is cheaper, hehe. Not sure how much UQW costs here, but in the US, both UQW and Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax, the pro-version of UQW, is 80% the cost of OCW, normalized for the same volume of product (note that the retail version of UQW is 15.2oz vs 17oz for OCW). Oh, one other thing - some reviewers have noticed that UQW has some filling properties, which OCW doesn't.
Here's one of the reviews I've read comparing the two (along with DGAW and Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Spray Wax):
UQW vs. OCW vs. DGAW vs. Souveran Spray Wax
Wow that was a nice product review / thread. Reading that material will make me wanna try UQW. I still love Optimum though, pero sana maging OTC narin siya... something Meguiar's has the edge here in the PHL.
I want a gallon of both OCW & OID/GE! Ayoko me kahati!
:uptight:

Yes, that review was what convinced me to get some UQW myselfAs for OTC availability - Ravi has told me that he plans to open a shop in the next few weeks, so no need to arrange for meet-ups. I'd still like to see it at malls though - mas madaling magbayad kapag credit card
Wohoo! Ang daming pera!Though ang daming OID nun - 4 gallons! (Actually up to 5 - I use OID in a 4:1 dilution.) Ilang taon QD yun!

ayun o some good news. saan kaya location niyan? ang awkward kase ng meetups for me e...
di naman sa maraming pera, tamang dami lang haha... oo nga madaming OID yun, hehe. its so fun to use you can almost taste it. i've recently got into Mother's Showtime as well, cleaning QD, nice shine and scent, nung transhow meron silang gallon size sa booth nila but di ko na nabalikan...
I'll post as soon as I know
Never tried Mother's Showtime, mostly since I'm happy with ONR QD and OID. However, I have bought some Ultima Waterless Wash concentrate - I've read some good feedback about it (including a review by Ceedog, same guy who did the UQW review). The concentrate is a bit more expensive than OID ($21 for 16oz vs $32 for 32oz), but since the dilution ratio (for both waterless wash and QD) is 1:44 (!), you're getting a far better price per ounce - to put it in perspective, a gallon of OID concentrate ($60) makes 4 gallons of QD, while that 16oz (1/8 gallon) of Ultima makes over five and a half gallons!
What I like about this product - and the reason I've bought it - is that you use the same dilution for both waterless wash and QD. Since it is designed to be a waterless wash, you're getting a lot more lubrication than normal QDs, which increases your margin of safety with regards to marring your paint. Also, reading the feedback from people who've used it, it's no slouch either in the looks department - it's been compared favorably to FK425 and Optimum Opti-Clean (which has looks comparable to OID).
So, you get a product that is both a looks QD (gloss and shine) and a far better cleaning QD (waterless wash!) than any other QD out there (other than it's fellow waterless washes, Optimum Opti-Clean and DP Waterless Wash); and you get it at a great price! Now, I just need to get it shipped from my aunt to me...
