Wow 3 hours for just one car? I can finish 2 cars with that duration, kasama na dun pag apply ng Meg's Ultimate Fast Finish for an old car (the other newer car is ceramic coated).

How much time it usually takes me for a maintenance wash for my daily drive ceramic coated sedan:

    30 mins body wash
15 mins wheel wells and rims
    10 mins engine bay wiping
    30 mins drying

Additional 1 hour for the following:
    Claying
    Water spot and tar removal
    Plastic trim detailing
    Windshield cleaning/protection with Glass Science

Try ko yan soon, but ma prapraning kase ako I'll end up using it monthly and it's going to be expensive lol.

Really hard to determine for me if it's time to wax or not, so I'm doing it monthly na lang.

So far I've used Meg's UFF for 5 cars, one application for each car. I plan to apply it every after 3 to 4 months depending on the water beading effect. My guess is that one spray can be used for 20 to 30 application.

Application was a breeze. I still have to see how long it will last but so far water beading is still good after 2 weeks. Car is daily driven and exposed to rain.

Ang mahal niyan. There are a lot of cheaper, quality alternatives naman.

I have to use a spray wax on my pickup (kapagod eh) applied every 2-3 wks, on top of a quality paste wax that's applied only every quarter. Ok naman.

I don't think (most) spray waxes last as long as pastes & liquids, kahit polymer based pa yun.

Can you share to us those cheaper, quality alternatives? I would like to try them out too.

    Just back read lang today.

Kung "top up" wax lang naman (for those weeks in between your "proper" wax), I use yung Microtex Wash & Wax spray wax lang (only Php200 for a large spray bottle). If gusto mo medyo branded, yung Turtle Wax Wax and Dry (non cleaner) costs twice as much (Php430).

The former (Microtex) has a nice gloss, but I'm not too confident with its protective qualities. OK lang sa akin yun because pang top up lang siya, and my base layer wax underneath it is good naman.

For a large vehicle (pickup), di lang kasi mabusisi I detail, medyo magastos pa because you use more product...

What's the fastest or easiest way to de-asphalt the whole car?

Pati hood/trunk kase merong maliliit, so ang hirap if isa isahin ko.

Is there a product na spray/apply mo lang, let it saturate then wipe it off?

Or hayaan ko na lang muna then isama na lang pag nagpa detail ako?

    asphalt is thick.
    hard to dissolve or soften.
one by one method po ang alam ko.
yes, there are stronger de-asphalting agents available, but they may discolor or even remove the paint as well. heh heh.
yespo. let the detailers do it for you.

btw, the longer it stays, the more difficult it'll be to remove it.
kung isa-isa lang, ay ok. but dozens or hundreds...!

    This is what I use:

    Carplan Tar Remover 375ml https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.brWe

    Also available in Concorde.

I've heard that you can use kerosene, diesel, and WD-40.

Suggestion, if you find it tiring, do it by panel (minimum 3 days) if di siya "daily driver".

    Monday - Hood & front
    Tues - right side
    Wed - left

Wala naman siguro sa roof (???) and trunk, or kung meron man, konti lang.
Yung left and right fenders ang medyo madugo.

No need for fancy "tar removers".
Saturate mo lang ng WD-40 (medyo matagal) or use a little gas/kerosene on a clean microfiber rag. If di "baked on" na tar stain, just use yung standard na wax (yung all in one na cleaner/polish/sealant).

    ===
By the way, if the tar stain is relatively "fresh", most of the time kaya ng any brand of car shampoo- patakan mo directly (full strength).

So saturate one door for example, then pag ni wipe ko siya sasama sa basahan dapat yung asphalt?

Currently, tried cleaner wax or a wet mf towel, na aalis naman pero need kuskos ilang beses and I have to individually remove every dot of asphalt.

Thinking of claybar, pero I messed up before it cause marring even lubed liberally. So ayoko muna mag clay bar haha.

Ngyek... eh di ang gastos din nun sa lube spray.

Fill mo na lang ng mga 250ml na bote ng gas, tapos dab mo ng microfiber na basahan. It will really need some "elbow grease" to wipe each spot individually.

Pa detail mo na nga lang siguro if busy ka, or buy a black car next time

no need to saturate the whole door if hindi naman covered ng ashpalt [emoji849] put the kerosene sa spray bottle then yun lang may spot na may aspalto ang aplayan nga gaas. let it soak a bit para lumambot yung aspalto. then use an mf towel, ipulupot mo sa hintuturo mo tapos basahin mo ng gaas then ipunas sa may talsik ng aspalto. medyo makunat sa una pero kaya ng gaas yan. after maalis, wash thoroughly ang car to remove the kerosene residues. wax the car after for protection and restore the shine

watch claying vids para magka idea ka. magka-marring lang if you dont lubed well the clay and the paint surface.

Leave it be. Charge to experience.

Pero kung makakahingi ka ng touch up paint sa casa, better.
