I noticed that the smoothness was somehow lessened after the quick wash. The same is true after the second coat. This is comparing before and after the quick wash. Although the paint is still smooth, I am just puzzled why the smoothness lessened after being exposed to water provided I let it sit for around 17 hours to cure. I suspect that the kaio plus ksg washed off but I am not 100% sure. Should the cure time be longer than that before exposing it to the elements like water? Also I would like to know what is the best technique in-between coats to have a refreshed clean surface before the next layer. Hope anyone would be able to share his/her experience and insights.

Try claying before applying kaio and ksg. Also check your car wash shampoo, it might be too strong.

Just a tip, apply the 476 very thin, as in sobrang thin. Mahirap i-buff off ito pag makapal ang pagkakalagay mo. One of the best ito pero one of the worst in taking it off. Try mo muna basain nang konti yun foam pad mo para hindi mahirap i-apply yun 476

just a question, kapag ba nag-claying, dun talaga lumalabas yung mga swirl marks?

Thanks sir for the tip! I've read from somewhere na kung ung wax mo is a paste pwede mo daw tanggalin sa lata (just make sure na nakagloves ka na malinis) then use that to apply it thinly dun sa applicator ng polisher.pwede din daw 1-2 spray ng QD or water sa pad bago gamitin.

i use plain water. lots of it. and as soon as possible.
if i wait long before i clean it, somehow, the poop reacts with the paint finish, resulting in un-even or discolored surface. by then, there's nothing i can do anymore..

Try using a cleaner wax, any in small sachets like 3M. Use a damp microfiber cloth & rub the area in a circular motion. Moderate pressure lang. Reapply if needed. Afterwards, you can apply your regular wax. Never use a rubbing compound.

if you are desperate, try (ugh!) some rubbing compound.. and do pray before doing it.

Wag muna rubbing compound. Try a less aggressive polish.

yep, it's our last resort if everything seems to fail. kahit sa mga minor scratches...hayaan na lang, makakalimutan mo rin yan.

Scratches, chips, swirls & nicks are inevitable. We all fuss over them. Eventually, you start to realize that you are starting to be a slave to your car. But it's OK. That's what makes us car nuts.:-)
