If you can confirm the type of pump, then that answers your question. Again from what I know, centrifugal pump is not self priming while reciprocating pumps are self priming.

I didn't check the picture earlier... and yes, I couldn't see the usual "volute casing" so this doesn't qualify as a centrifugal pump.

For high pressure application, centrifugal pumps can be arranged so that it is "staged". An example is the feedwater pump used in a boiler. A three-stage centrifugal pump might be an overkill for ordinary industrial application. Well, I might be wrong as I don't have much knowledge about this.

I have an hp-w302. .. been using it for more than a year na.. . regularly every sundays. . siguro mga half day. . . first to clean the car after which panglinis ng kulungan ng baboy. holding up naman. i just spray silicone oil dun sa mga rubber o-rings oara d tumigas.

Yan ba yun Meron gulong or yun maliit? Order ako bukas. Pwede diretso gamit na matagal hinde umiikot yun motor? I mean I like 1-2 hours Pero hinde naman siyempre tuloy tuloy.

Yun me gulong sir. .. i use it for around 3hrs or more pa nga sir.. pero d tuloy -tuloy =)

Basta make sure na yun supply ng water eh available. . ..pag naubusan eh iinit yun motor and it would lead to premature wear.

Malakas naman yun focused na spray nya. . . Yun lang fine(?) na spray nyaeh sana mas madami pa ang lumalabas na water para mas mabilis ang rinsing

RE: Bosch power washer AQT 33-11

FYI

After 1 year of use, the aluminum casing that housed the piston developed a crack. the thickness of the aluminum is thin. Bosch service center did not have the parts.

Am now looking for an alternative brand

I'm of the same opinion. I also got the Bosch AQT 33-11 and for the price I'm quite surprised that it lasted me 2 years so far. I'm also looking for a replacement, but I can't seem to find one of the petrol-driven washers that I want.

I observed those carwash shops, they have this reciprocating pumps run by motors through belt and pulley. I think that one can be repaired. ICE driven washers are a bit of overkill for me, but that one is really "portable" in a sense that you can bring it anywhere as long as there is water supply. Perhaps, after an off-road event and you want to clean up?

Now, if you can collect those broken pressure washers then you can "repair" it by exchanging parts.

Good point about overkill, which got me thinking. The most hassle-free way, really, is to buy cheap Bosch washers and replace every 2-3 years. 5K pesos for a washer which lasts 2-3 years would be a good deal, I think.

For a cheapskate like me, I satisfy myself with the pressure coming out of the faucet. I admit that it really lacks pressure when compared to a pressure washer and so sometimes​ I contemplate on buying one.

Sa province kasi ako nakatira, and I sometimes pass through some muddy streets during the rainy season, so pressure washing the mud off my car is the safest way to remove it. Plus the fun-factor of using a foam cannon is a bonus. During summer, I just use the garden hose to wash, it leaves less droplets to wipe off.

It's also useful in cleaning the driveway of algae (a problem because we have mango trees sa front yard, which I think contributes to algae growth sa concrete driveway).

Bosch Universal Aquatak 130

I'm leaning towards the FASA washer, as it's cheaper and has more power. I'm just considering the Bosch due to my "investment" in Bosch accessories (lance, pistol, drain cleaner, etc) plus Bosch claims that the newer model is quieter than the old one. I suddenly​ remembered my father's driver. He worked in a carwash shop so he suggested to buy a pump with a similar setup. This one not as noisy compared to a pressure washer. I might try that setup instead. I mean, I'll ask him one we see each other.
