For me, putting a plate cover is a neccessity in the Philippines.

Ninanakaw kasi ang mga registration stickers kapag wala cover. I've heard that these are sold (for a P150-300) to people who doesn't want to pay the "high" LTO registration fees, insurance, and etc.

Worst, nanakawin pa ang plaka mo at magamit pa sa kidnap/carnap activities.

On all our vehicles, we use the clear type cover. We also use special screws, para hindi basta basta matangal.

Iyan din ang reason ko kaya bumili ako ng plate protectors. napakadali kasi na tanggalin ang sticker ng registration. Medyo madali rin mabaklas ang plate. Kung may plate protector, medyo pahihirapan ng konti ang manananggal.

BTW, I use a clear palte protector. Deflector ang brand and may Toyota na nakasulat sa ilalim. May kamahalan lang ng konti.

Sana di mag fade si "rizal".

So far, wala pa akong nakikita ng special bolts para di basta basta matatanggal ang plate. Ang nakita ko pa lang na special bolt ay may LED. Di ko type na may LED, parang baduy para sa akin.

I frequent the Makati area and I use clear plastic covers with a black frame. The police never pulled me over so I guess these are ok with them. I like them also because it makes taking off the plate much harder to do so it's somewhat a deterrent for those that steal plates.
