noted po. thanks dehadista and theveed! appreciate your advices.
Parang nawala yung last post ko dito regarding detailing dahil magpapa car-wash ako kanina.
Anyway, nagpa car wash na ako kanina, hand wash. Then, pag uwi ko nakita ko mga stains. Parang dumikit na yung mga dumi.
Wax and Buff???
Basic Detailing kse dito $110.00, ang mahal!
Karding: ganun talaga ang price range ng mga yan dyan.. pero I think for that price, kumpleto na dapat yan. at least dyan hindi ka gaano mag-wax unlike dito sa Pinas na kailangang frequent talaga..
Karding: Pa cleaner wax mo, tanggal yan but before that clay muna. Then sealant since its a white car.
panu pag bagong paint lang na white?
what to do? and after how many weeks before having a sealant?
$80 singil ko dati dyan hehe, Kards, bigyan mo ako ticket, gawin ko libre :D
Bili ka lang ng cleaner wax... Tapos na yan.
tebs: repaint o new car? kung repaint 2-3mos, kung bagong car, immediately.

theveed, when you say polish (1st of 2 step detail), cleaner wax ang gamit, right? ok ba ang zymol cleaner wax? medyo mas mura kasi at p200 compared to other brands.
iluvdetailing, you mentioned claying, then cleaner wax, then sealant...would this be a 3 step detail?
considering the oil spill mishap on my month old white car as ive mentioned earlier, which is better....2 or 3 step detail?
pardon the ignorance, sirs
Yes. Although you can replace the cleaner wax with a paint cleaner (E.G. Mothers Step 1 or Meguiars Step 1) since your gonna use a sealant. Although for white cars, you will need to use a cleaner wax more since white is prone to stains and top it off with a pure wax. You can do a three step 2 or 3 times a year and maintain it your ride with a cleaner wax and pure wax (if you choose). The thing here is that cleaner waxes won't last as long as pure waxes but it's cleaning properties are required for white paint, and if you wax every week it should be enough.Originally Posted by stubby
First of all, scrap the notion of "step detail" there's no such thing. It's just used to describe how many steps a certain product line follows, it's not a rule.
There are no STEPS na definite. It all depends on the surface problem.
With a good maintained car, a light cleaner wax may be its "first step", a weathered car, wetsanding may be its "first step"
stubby: hmm.. siguro clarification na lang bro to further help you out..
nakakalito (you might confuse yourself on this one) kasi pag sinasabi ng mga detailing shops na "...3-step detail na yan". then they use these terms and throw it around without actually knowing what it means or the processes involved behind the term.. this is actually: cleaning, polishing and sealing..
so for every process, there are sub-processes involved and this depends on the nature of work required to successfully complete each and every step.
for example, sa cleaning / prepping, as theveed said, there are times na kailangan mo lang "light chemical paint cleaner". minsan naman kailangan mo ng claying then something abrasive to clean the paint depende sa surface defects.. . pls note that this is different from washing the car. then you move on to polishing the paint.. note that this is different from compounding.. here, you bring back the luster of the paint.. then afterwards, you seal / protectthis using your wax / sealant or any LSP (Last Step Product) of your choice.. then maintenance ka na lang for the next few weeks / months / "period until next complete detail"
there are different products for every aspect of your detail.. just remember that its' a cycle / guide for you to follow. it all depends on the condition of your vehicle and the amount of work you're willing to put in in order to get that shine.
stubby: Since your new to detailing you can check out http://groups.msn.com/pinasdetailing you'll pick up a lot of pointers there...
Mga kapatid, ako na lang gagawa kung magbabayad din lang ako ng $120. Madali lang naman siguro since bago pa ang tsikot ko.
So, here's what I would be needing and what brands?!
Wash Car then...
Clay
Cleaner Wax
Sealant Wax
Mabuhay ang detailers...Mabuhay!!!!!
