try to avoid lang ma lagyan ng GAAS/KEROSENE ang mga rubber hose or

anything may rubber sa loob ng engine bay ..

may bad reaction ang rubber sa mga GAAS/KEROSENE

Well if it works for you. Put using kerosine in your engine is not a good idea. Rubber hoses exposed to kerosine or gaas will become brittle over time. Better get a citrus based cleaner for your engine.

Regarding Kerosine on asphalt, there are less abrasive products out there, and less dangerous products than kerosine. remember flamable yung kerosine don't want to play with that.

Water and any petrol product won't mix. Even if you shake it, you'll see that the water separates from the kerosene.

Why use harmful petrol (and risk a fire as well) when there are much more efficient products out there.

Well, I still wouldn't recommend it on your ride. If it works on your white car then good. I had a white car before, all you need is a good cleaner wax and periodically do a 3-step or 2-step. No shortcuts.

help please! oil from a defective hydraulic lift was sprayed on my month old white mz3. the oil squirted from the top of the lift, most probably from a busted oil hose. nag-breakdown yung lift while my car was on it! buti na lang mga 2 ft high lang ang itinaas. buti sana kung small squirts lang nung oil, kaso madaming beses kaya halos nabasa na yung hood and roof! what should i do to eliminate any probable paint damage sa luster nung white paint? TIA

Have it assessed by a professional. Probobly needs some polishing and compounding

what have you done to it afterwards?

if that were to happen to me, i would get a very weak APC-water mixture to throw in with my regular car wash to ensure some degreasing. then I'd proceed to a 2 step detail.

yes, follow what dehadista suggested. Also, ano ginawa nyo right after?

oil isn't damaging naman actually, like any stains, it's best to tackle it asap. Naturally, any oil stripping soap (like Joy) will help remove most, if not all of the oil spill. Chances of it staining is quite minute unless you left it there to bake.

Just polish the paint afterwards and wax.

thanks for your replies, appreciate it!

the dealership jet washed my car after the check-up and repairs were done. i guess the oil stayed on my car for approximately an hour. it couldn't be washed immediately coz the front suspension was taken out and it took some time to put it back, plus the fact that the lift was busted so they had to manually lower the car via kroc jack. as all of this was going on, i told myself mabuti na lang i was there to see everything that took place! guys, its really best to watch your car while its being serviced! had i not been there, i wouldn't have known about this oil thing.

the day after, i cleaned the car again with my reliable polyglaze wash & wax, but thats all i did. the car looks ok but im concerned about probable damage which my untrained eye might not notice. like i said, its just a month old car..and i truly want to maintain its luster.

im a DIY kinda guy, and id rather do the fixins myself hangga't kaya ng kaalaman ko. dehadista, do you think the polyglaze i use is enough as a degreaser on its own, or do i still have to add a little APC to the solution as you've suggested? just to be sure, does the 2 step detail mean pre-wax cleaner then wax/sealant? guys, what brands do you suggest thats best for white? thanks again for your inputs!

well, I'm not inclined towards combo shampoos. I'd rather have them separately.

To answer your question: No. Polyglaze isn't strong enough to remove that. car shampoos are designed to be like that. they won't strip your car of its wax.

Like theveed said, you can also use joy.. the point here is to do strip / degrease your car. so, i think its advisable to "APC-wash" only the affected parts. but take note, doing this would strip all the wax / oil from your ride. you definitely have to polish and rewax afterwards to protect the surface of your ride (2 step detail)
