Well wala atang clay yung Meguiars gift pack, if you can source a mothers clay bar separately then buy the Meguiars Kit and a mothers claybar, you won't regret it. IMO maganda ang claybar ng mothers, easy to work with.

thanks guys for your replies! really appreciate your explanations. im already quite clear on the polishing and waxing. question lang po before i proceed to the polishing and waxing.....

for purposes of eliminating possible stains on my hood and roof caused by the oil spill mishap sa hydraulic lift nung pina-check ko car ko sa dealership, would theveed's advice of washing w/ joy mixture be equivalent to claying? or do i still have to do the joy first, then clay pa? like i mentioned, i want to take away any possible oil residue para prepped na prepped na yung ride ko for the polishing and waxing.

claying is not equavalent to a Joy / APC Wash.

a Joy / APC Wash strips your vehicle of its oils / wax / layers of protection. this is done when you want to get a clean surface free of anything. In your case, you are merely degreasing.

Claying - removing surface contaminants.
Washing w/ Joy - Removing stains / residue by the oil.

You would have to wash with joy then clay. But don't forget to wax after because the joy mixture will stripoff the wax.

stubby, you need not worry. I doubt if you will use all up a bottle of wax in a year hehehe... Those I bought lasted for more that a year already...

Okay, salamat ulit mga kapatid. Pag-uwi ko mamaya dadaan ako sa store.

1) Clay bar kit (either Mother's or Clay Magic, I suggest the latter, you don't need the wax per se kasi dun sa Mothers eh)
2) Get a paint cleaner. I suggest you buy Mother's Phase 1 or Meguiar's Clear Coat Body Scrub.
3) Get a combo synthetic like NXT, Nanowax, etc.

Nanowax pala squirt bottle, mas madali! ayos!
