    There's always a next time

As with the Silver paint, Silver paints just require better paint preparation to make the paint stand out more but yes its still achievable

Functionality-wise i would say NXT and Sapphire because of NXT's Hydrophobic Technology

But if you're after filling i would give it to Microtex Nano Glos and then Sapphire, Nano Glos' fillers last longer and fill better than NXT and even Step 2 so it would fill more once used before Sapphire.

    Very nice shine sir!
Hahaha its actually a combination of 3 sealants, Maxi-Gloss and Maxi-cure. He told me PSI guessed one of the main sealants used. Both Maxi products are still on their beta stages brought in by our mentor when he visited us 2 weeks ago, the good thing about them is Maxi-Gloss really pumps up the gloss of any sealant by utilizing crystal polymers and Maxi-Cure unlike other boosters and polychargers doesn't spoil the sealant and has no expiry time when mixed with the sealant unlike most where you need to use up the sealant between 6 to 24 hours

    thanks! quick question though...
i just bought by second bottle of microtex tire black earlier sa ACE and glanced upon the NanoGlos you've all been talking about here.

i'm pretty happy with the TW platinum's shine on my silver paint. would i achieve anything if I layer Nanoglos after the TW Plat? or waste lang cia ng time and energy? if meron, what/when's the best way to apply it?

i'm very much contemplating to get myself acquainted with sealants... got inspired last week when master Ed used the carlack combo on my trunk..

Ms Madkatz, would you kindly share some useful tips in paint preparation?

    TIA!

BTW did you use ZFX on those multi layers?
Yes, ms madkatz. I used ZFX for every coat, with Z6 in between.

Speaking of paint prep, yes this paint is 90% swirl free. However, it wasn't wet sanded, and that's what I'm amazed with because I never thought any LSP could achieve this DOI on a factory painted surface with orange peel. I noticed that Toyotas and Hondas have more or less flatter paints but GM really has orange peel. And the paint is tough to correct.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

he wants to check which combination would last longer.
sure, ill post the pics hopefully this weekend.

Since the sealant needs a couple of days to cure, i guess i should apply the 915 after a few days right?

For protection, you may apply a sealant or a wax or both

    good luck and enjoy!

First as Watusi have mentioned, first learn how to wash the car properly without inducing new swirls and then after that a good option would be to fill the swirls and just wait for it to accumulate before you have it corrected.

Get the FF for washing the car

    1. Microtex Washmitt and 1 Cheap Ace hardware washmitt for lower parts
    2. California Gold Shampoo is good so is NXT Shampoo but if you want cheaper alternatives you can also get Microtex Shampoo i think its just 150
    3. Microtex Chamois or Elite, don't use rubber chamois, other drying towels can also be used like Mothers and Meguiars Drying towel but i find that Microtex Absorbs more although its a lot more expensive.
    4. 2 buckets

    Optional items available OTC

    1. Tire Black - Get the creme and water based ones like Microtex Tire Black or Red Carpet Tire Cream from BB
    2. Wax - Moms Step 3, Megs NXT, Megs Gold Class, Microtex Nano Glos and TW Platinum is good.
Thanks bro watusi and ms. madkatz. Definitely I will get myself those washing materials
Ms. Madkatz, since there are already swirls, how will I be able to correct them, as I read NanoGlos has filling properties, would this help in hiding the swirls and spiderwebs? How many coats should I apply and curing time? After NanoGlos ano ang magandang kasunod? Sorry for asking too many questions...

    Thanks so much again!!!

    nakakaaddict ang detailing..seryoso..hehe

Hala, di pala madali gamitin ang SwirlX? Mam can you share kung paano po ang tamang way ng pag-apply nito? I'm about to buy this soon po kasi and I'm applying it by hand. Thanks.

I agree with this.

I'll just observe na lang in the coming days. I'm not 100% sure yet if natanggal ko talaga yung coating ko ng 476.

It's a townhouse lang, pero spacious 2-car garage. As much as gusto ko magpa-EB doon, mahirap kasi ang sungit nung katabi namin!

When we start building our future home, I'll make sure there's a big covered parking So if you guys know of any vacant lot for sale (at least 100 sqm and max 1.5M, let me know, hehe! Within the main QC area sana...)

Then water drying lang. Parang walang nangyari, makintab ulit.

Thanks for the compliments and invitation to eb.

wow!

mga boss, ano ba ang mas less aggresive between Mothers Step 1 and Megs Swirlx? 3M scratch remover aggresive na ba masyado yun? plano ko tanggalin watermarks sa trunk ko using the less aggresive product muna sana eh.

OT: plan ko rin ipaint yung mudguard ko na flat black plastic. ano po dapat ko gamitin na grit ng sandpaper before primer, after primer, at after base coat? wala kasi akong alam sa grits ng sandpaper eh. thanks!

Masyadong agressive yung 3m scratch remover parang liquid sand paper.
