keep your regimen simple. wash/dry > clay > polish > apply sealant or wax. you can skip the claying and polishing if smooth pa at makintab yung paint surface then do the normal wash and wax.

read the Tamang OC thread from the beginning and you will learn a lot...
thank you for the reply sir. with regards to polishing medyo hindi ko po maintindihan ito eh, eto din po ba yung cleaner wax or prewax cleaner? tama po ba ko sa pagkaka intindi na ina-apply ito to prepare the paint for waxing? at inaalis nito yung old wax buildup para sa new layer ng wax? in that case po, pwede ko po ba gamitin Mothers Step 1 or Megs Step 1 for this?

When you sa "apply sealant or wax" sir, i will only apply only one of these two? or pwedeng lets say, Megs NXT tech wax or Mother & Megs step 2 then top up ko ng Collinite as my LSP.

ang gulo talaga sir, nakakalito hehehe. actually nalilito ako about sa sealant, polish and glaze. ang nakakalito eh yung next step after claying at before applying ng wax

The way I see it, you have 2 parts in detailing the exterior of a car: Preparation and Protection.

Once you prep the surface parang hubad yan wala sya protection. Claying, compounding, polishing is under the prep part. I usually assume that Claying and compounding is more aggressive than polishing so inuuna ko muna si clay then si compound and last ko si polish. ( Compound and polish in what I do is optional, usually once or twice a year ko lng ginagawa depende sa condition nung paint ).

Protection usually involves the sealant and waxing part. I assume that the sealant I use is more durable than the wax, so inuuna ko muna si sealant then I layer the wax above it. ( plus I like the finish of my wax than my sealant ). Pag di ka nag prep at dumiretso ka sa protection, pwede rin naman pero the result might not be as great kung may prep part and the durability of your protection might not be as good.

Then there are products that fall in both categories, pasok ata dito si Klasse AIO, kaya nga siguro siya all in one?. I usually apply KAIO as my last step in the prep part. Then the Glazes, pwede siya pang prep since it can hide minor imperfections pero sakin kung ok compunding/polishing mo you might not need it, I don't know if it can protect but some glazes will tell you it can add gloss and depth to your paint ang di lang ako kampante is that it may degrade the durability of my sealant and wax since nakapatong sila sa glaze, so in my regimen I dont use glazes ;)

In between my detailing regimen is my maintenance part, this usually involves washing your car and applying your quick detailer. BTW I wash the car prior to claying ;)

polishing is prepping your paint surface para maalis lahat ng defects bago ka mag-apply ng LSP. cleaner wax or prewax cleaner as the name implied ay gaya ng nasabi mo inaapply bago magwax to get rid of mga residues during polishing para maganda kapit ng sealant o wax. i have no idea sa mothers at megs eh.

you can apply sealant or wax alone as your LSP or pwede magkapatong. rule of thumb is sealant muna then let it cure or give time to bond sa paint bago mo patungan ng wax.

Just follow these steps and you will now get lost. Alamin mo kung para saang step ang product na binili mo.

Since it is brand new, pwede na ang BB Paint Protect, and then maintain mo na lang aftewards. Follow the procedure for "Good Condition" or "Moderate Imperfections" depending on your paint condition. For available material, visit Blade, Concorde, Ace, True Value, etc. or check Ginnova's items in OLX. Backread this thread and Tamang OC thread.

BB Optiguard is optional if you want to bring your car to BB every 3-4 months for maintenance. If wala kang gamit or wala kang time mag-DIY.

Salamat sa reply sir, medyo (medyo lang) naiintindihan ko na po.

Now i understand na ang Polishing is part ng preparation stage before proceeding sa "protection" stage.

Another question po mga Sir, may curing time po ba ang polish bago ko i-apply ang wax? is Megs Ultimate Polish ok for the job?

    Eto na po siguro ang final regimen ko, please let me know if i can proceed;

    1. Wash
    2. Clay
    3. Polish (megs Ultimate Polish)
    4. Sealant (Megs ultimate liquid wax) any brand po you can recommend? meg, mothers or Optimum po
    5. Wax (Megs Ulimate Paste wax or Collinite 845)

    Salamat po

The minimum you should get are:

    1. Car shampoo (e.g. Meg's Gold Class Car Wash, etc.)
    2. Sealant or wax (e.g. Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax, Meg's Gold Class Carnauba Plus, etc.)

Other detailing products (Quick Detailer, Polish, Glaze, Clay, Compound, etc.) are optional. Get them when the time comes that you need them. DA polisher is optional if you want to use machine.

    Walang curing time ang Polish.

Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax and Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax are both sealant (synthetic wax) so you do not need both. Yung Meg's Gold Class Carnauba Plus ang natural carnauba wax.

    1. Wash
    2. Clay (Optional when needed)
    3. Meg's Ultimate Polish (Optional when needed)
    4. Meg's Ultimate Paste Wax or Liquid Wax
    5. Meg's Gold Class Carnauba Plus or Collinite 845 (Optional if desired)

    Salamat sa sagot sir red_one;

isa pa pong tanong mga sir, may gumagamit po ba sa inyo ng griot's garage wash mitt or detailer's choice wash mitt? available po kasi dito, reasonable ang price but i dont know kung recommended tong mga brand na to.

meron ding viking's waffle weave microfiber drying towel.

i'd appreciate the comments with regards to this brands.
