i have never used a duster. i believe less touch, less swirls. microtex has a gray, waffle weave drying towel costs 600 Php. assuming your car is clean except for the dust that settled, two of those and blasting the dust off with water won't be problem anymore. flap the towel on the car, avoid rubbing if possible. that's my minimum cleaning method. usually the minimum is to foam the car, pressure wash, dry which is short of a car wash w/ soapy chenille.
Thanks for the reply sir btw there are no instructions kasi in the can on how long to wait until buffing out the product. How long does it take usually? sabi wait lang daw hangang mag haze but i cant see any hazing nung nagtry ako.

after wax application wait til it blurs a bit. finger test: swab the surface with your finger. if it doesn't smudge, it's dry.

about the scratching, cd scratch test: use it on a cd, same dusty condition. see if your method doesn't put scratches on it. but not knowing how to find swirls is bliss.

thanks Ginnova. that has UV protection a la OCW? not familiar with new stuff, i still have the old ones. You gone pro?

for noobs, 2 stickied threads this and tamang oc which has a good primer there.

Dropped by blaed yesterday and found this spray wax: Mothers FX sparay wax and Mother's reflections spray wax. are these two wax any good? like can they withstand atleast a week? or they just give shine no protection at all?

    1. They're Mothers, they're supposed to be good.
    2. Durability is always relative. What if maulan this week and next week wala? Hindi naman fair basis yun.
    3. They're spray waxes. They'll protect your paint.

Locally? Uhhh... you can't. You'd have to import those or have somebody import them.

I did in the past. However, it didn't really leave an impression on me nor did I take note of results. I treated it pretty much like I was applying any other wax QD.

If memory served right, I believe I was leaning more on the Reflections rather than the FX. Can't remember why tho.

The thing with spray QD is that you're only in for their ease of application. You spray and you wipe. Voila!

However, most conventional waxes will still outperform you in the bang-per-buck category. Take Meguiar's Yellow Wax for example.. it's cheap (when you directly import it from the US), it's easy to use, and it lasts longer than conventional spray waxes.

Don't really mind for the depth, slickness, shine, or whatever. You get those primarily from a well-prepped surface. Remember, a wax's primary duty is to protect. In wax selections, I look for price, performance, and ease of use.

Sir, what could be a good substitute? Is meguiar's D115 better than Pinnacle Waterless Wash?
