First of all, sorry for quoting a 2-week old post.

    Advantage of CF hood:
    1. Lighter material means lighter car which equates to a faster car
    2. Aesthetics and gives you that "my car is different from others" feel.

    Disadvantages:
    1. Prone to clouding, yellowing if not taken care of.
    2. Prone to breaking/shattering
    3. Expensive
    4. Might fly off towards your windshield if not secured properly.

both are good polishers. mine is porter cable 7424xp, more than enough for enthusiast and weekend detailer like me. cheaper than meguiar too. good reviews also with rupes (roo-pes) LHR15 or LHR21 polishers. for more info, you may check them out in autogeek, detailed image and autopia detailing sites.

sorry sa late reply bro, ngayon ko lang nakita. pinabili ko sa US sa relative ko via online din sa autogeek. kung sa pads naman (lake country), ang madalas magamit ay orange (for light cutting), white (for mild polishing), at black (for finisihing at application ng waxes/sealants). ok din daw yung blue for finessing na tinatawag pero di ko pa nasubukan. yung yellow pad, pinakamagaspang, pang compound yun. meron ako pero di ko nagagamit, mga bago pa naman at well maintained pintura ng mga sasakyan ko kaya no need for compounding. as a minimum at least meron ka, 2 oranges, 1 white and 1 black. need mo magpalit ng fresh pad kapag makapal na dikit ng polish para effective ang cutting niya. now I think I have 6 orange pads, 2 whites, 2 blacks, 1 yellow, sakto lang pang enthusiast at weekend detailer.

mas ok yung mga bonus kits sir, kasi may kasama ng pad cleaners saka backing plate. kaso lang walang orange pad. bilhin mo yung kit then dagdag ka ng 2-4 orange pads solb ka na niyan. you will appreciate later on yung gamit ng orange pad, pang all around kasi yan at madalas mo gagamitin kasi may light cutting siya, pantaggal ng swirls at gasgas. yung white pwede rin but you need na pasadahan ng mas matagal to remove defects. if possible, buy ka rin ng 4" na pads mo para sa mga corners, yung 6" kasi mahirap imaniobra sa mga tight corners but maganda sa large panels like hood, doors. i started all with 6" pads then later i bought 4" para pang corners.

yan ba yung yellow pad na pabilog? kung mga quick detailer spray ka damp mo lang or pwede naman water. then ipahid mo sa wax and apply the wax as thinly as possible. may I know anong wax mo? pagka-apply pwede mo na agad punasan, pero usually ang rule of thumb, pag-apply mo let it dry for a while then kapag pinahid mo ng daliri at clear na yung dadaanan ng daliri mo, pwede na I buff. pahiran mo buong sasakyan muna from one panel to another, say roof, hood, right side, likod then left side. kapag natapos mo try the finger test sa unang panel (roof) na nilagyan mo then kapag ok na, umpisahan mo na I buff. same direction na iniapply mo yung wax. buffing is simply wiping it off. make sure you use a plush mf towel, yung microtex na kulay green maganda. remember, manipis na manipis lang ang pahid ng wax. read ka ng mga articles on how to wax a car sa detailed image, autogeek o autopia o check mo you tube para magka-ideya ka.

yes, wax is for protection. carnauba based wax is ok, or synthetic sealants they protects the paint, acts like a surface barrier. glaze is just a filler, it hides swirls/scratches so makintab tingnan, after some washes dull na ulit ang paint.

May thread dito sir about proper car washing
