Ask ko lang mga boss, how do you find the quality of Microtex Waxes? I'm beginning to be more interested into detailing kasi, and i have bought the NanoSil, NanoGlos, and NanoSliq as a combo, its like Mothers Step 1-3 ang ginawa ko pero Microtex. Ok na ba siya for home detailing or still Mothers pa rin ang masokay? Mothers, 3M, Turtle at Microtex lang kasi ang may mabibilihan ako kaya yun lang ang pwede ko mabili.

I have tried those 3, sir, and my observation is they are ok as they give a great shine, almost similar to Meguiar's, just a notch or 2 lower. My major gripe is their durability. They don't really last that long. After about 2 or 3 washes, it's almost gone. But with that price, I wouldn't think twice of using it or make it as my go to wax especially if I am on a budget. Actually, I have almost completed their product line, their tire black, interior care and even their car wash media, I almost have them all.

If you really want a durable product, try Collinite 476 or Optimum Car Wax, they are way better. I have tried them both and after running the car in the rain, well it still got dirty but it was way easier to clean (I didn't even need to wash it, just used the Microtex duster) and it was shiny again. I haven't done that with Microtex or Meg's. It was like a joke.hehe They are now my favorite waxes.

thanks for the info sir, now my concern will be what collinite or optimum will be for polish, glaze and for the last step.

You can try Klasse twins then 476 then OCW or Nanogloss. Just maintain it with a QD like Nanosliq. But if you wanna try the Microtex, Nanosil then Nanogloss (curing time 6 to 8 hrs) then Nanosliq. There are a lot of combinations.

What I do is inspect the paint first. If it's really filled with asphalts, I wipe it with kerosene to soften them then wipe off. Next is wash the car with quality shampoo. After that is I clay the car. It's up to you if you wanna wash the car again but in my case, I don't wash it anymore. Or you could apply a scratch remover first before clay. Next is wax. Better if you clean the paint first then polish then finish it off with a wax. It's a very long process which in my case, since I only do it by hand, it usually takes me about 8 hrs to do everything. Make sure you don't do it under direct sunlight and you will not use the car in between process since it will be filled with contaminants again.

For claying the car, the process is knead the clay, spray a liberal amount of quick detailer then rub it gently on the panel. Better do it in small areas. Be careful not to drop the clay coz it will pick up dirt that could scratch or mar your paint. In short, you should discard it if you drop it. That's why it's better if you cut the clay in half or by 3 just in case you dropped it, at least you still have the other half.

A lot of professional detailing shops offer claying. Big Bert's is one. For the price, just inquire. Or you could buy a clay bar kit at Blade. It's from Mothers and it costs 1,495. It would last you a very long time as long as you know how to take care of them.

I've seen a few at Mothers HQ and at Hans Tools, some True Value stores, but there isn't a great selection available. I've seen a few sellers over on Sulit.

I love how it makes the paint look kinda darker and deeper and revive the wax that I have previously applied. It's really very similar to Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax but way cheaper. I love how it suds and how it smells.

I agree, also tried microtex wahs and wax, ok performance and price wise sulit siya... The budget for car shampoo could be use to buy better wax and LSP..

Mga Sir,

Tanong ko lang po kung saan at ano ang pwedeng gawin para maalis/mabawasan ung madaming acid marks sa bubong ng kotse ko? Ang sabi kasi sakin nung kakilala ko, kahit daw sa exterior detail daw mahihirapan ng maalis un pero mababawasan naman daw pero syempre ninipis na ung paint. Pag ni run through ko kasi ung daliri ko sa paint e ramdam mo na ung marks. Ang dami kasi mga 1/4 nung bubong meron TIA!

sir silver car din ako. i'd get the KAIO or the Carlack equivalent then yung preferred wax mo na. Its a little expensive narin for me kung twins e... of course sabi nila worth it naman but still.
