my first suggestion would be to have it sealed with a quality sealant, multiple layers also give more benefits so it would be nice to have a sturdy protection available on the paint, also one of the first thing i would recommend would be to tell the dealership to not wash the car, don't care that much if its dirty as long as you don't have them wash it, dealers are notorious for causing swirls when they wash it for delivery
- Microtex washmitt
one of the best washmitts available locally
- washmitt from ACE hardware
this can be used for lower panels and wheels
- Microtex kit ( yung may pink, purple at chammy )
this is good, Pink/Plush for buffing off waxes and polishes, Suede for cleaning windows and interior panels and chamois for drying the car, their chamois is the safest chamois available locally since it will not cause scratches unlike conventional rubber chamois
- Microtex duster
good product but some people here say it could hamper the wax performance
- micromagic applicator pads
Best value applicator pads and easily disposable
- formula 1 pva chamois
not much recommended for paint surfaces, good for glass and wheels
- sponge
depends on the type of sponge, if the holes are large enough this could be safe for the paint but if its small like 1mm small these could trap grit and scratch the paint
- Elevo Water mark remover
one of the better water mark remover available good choice
- f21 car polish
one of the most depressing buys we did, not recommended for usage, TW Platinum is a lot better
- formula 1 carnauba car wax
cleaner wax mechanical abrasive type, basically its a cleaner wax that contains micropolishes that can remove some amount of clear
- formula 1 carnauba gold clear coat car wax
clear coat safe, pure wax but also damn hard to use and remove if left to dry too long, not bad on shine and looks department but doesn't last as long
- formula 1 wash and wax shampoo
Good value, but also needs more for the bucker, other nice shampoo would be NXT, TW Ice and Moms
- collinite 476s (sa monday pa dating from autobisyo)
Need i say more?
- auto gard rain repellant
Not as effective as Rain Clear Gel, i would recommend you use this on side windows but not the windshield, once you're done try the Glass Science Rain Clear Gel its better and lasts longer
- formula 1 scratch out
Very abrasive pretty much like a rubbing compound already and doesn't leave a nice gloss so you could remove scratches with this but be sure to follow it up with a finer polish like SwirlX or ScratchX or Moms Scratch Remover
- Armor all original
Not recommended, no personal experience yet but based on a lot of people that uses it it can really crack up the dashboard especially vinyl, some cases its cracking some cases its yellowing, either way most people that use it for years don't go back to using it
- Armor all extreme Tire Shine
Not bad product but i find Microtex and Red Carpet better in terms of looks and easier on the wallet
- turle wax rubbing compound
nick named "liquid sand paper" very course and will really leave a dull finish
With the Optimum Car Wax and Clay i would recommend you contact my BF at +639277227554, he sells both and a whole lot more items at a cheaper price
*madkatz - Thank You madame for the rundown on those items, very very very helpful.. really! now I know what to use and NOT to use... from the looks of it, I still need a cleaner wax that is safe on clear coat before application of 476s? or is there something more in between?
btw, I have a kp600 and plan on doing the mod para mag accept ng ibang pads... is it advisable for a newb to use one? or should I stick with hand application muna just incase na magkamali? thanks!

Feasibility namin ngayon kaya medyo alanganin ako palagi eh.
Hopefully pag nakuha ko na Klasse twins ko from Master Ed may eb about sealants ulit para matuto ako kung pano gumamit non.
Guys what can you suggest on keeping the shine of the 3M Hand Glaze? Is it okay to reapply it once it wears off the paint?
Glad to hear a lot went to the EB and learned a lot :D Sad ako kasi hindi ako naka-punta last minute. Daughter had high fever last night and so medyo bantay today; although subsided din naman towards mid morning.
*PSI - pa-galing ka; baka naman nasosobrahan ka na sa detailing... hehe
had to do some back reading, i dont know if someone already answred this...
476s will take a lot of effort to remove, even when using household detergents (although, please... don;t try household grade products on your car)... So I'd prolly say that if you use any shampoo made for cars, the 476s would stand it...
Now, you'd just have to find a shampoo good enough to let your 476s last for as long as it can... if you're on a budget, get MIcrotex Sampoo, or if you wanna save more with a bulk buy, go to big berts an buy a whole gallon of their shampoo
I won't recommend washing your car without shampoo. Car shampoo is necessary in washing to:
1. Provide lubricity to the water to lessen the likelihood that the dirt wont scratch your car when you wipe it off.
2. Easily melt down (or decompose) road filem, grease, grime and other dirt that water and wiping won't just take off. (This is what foam wash does great, when you leave the foam shampoo on the car and let it slide down)
3. Add gloss, some shampoos have an effect that add to or compliments your car's overall shine.
Hope this helps...
just got back from out of town... washed and protected with 1 week old 476s and OCW... tapos left at the open parking at the airport for 2 days and 2 nights...
it's not even the open parking at Centennial three where it's a bit isolated... that one was full so I had to park at an open parking right in front of the highway... when I got back to my car this afternoon.. ung black car, brown na... rain, pollution, brake dust, etc... I didn't even drive my car and now i have one hell of a detailing job...
when the vacation ends... work starts...
i feel bad wala ako ng last na EB, I hope everyone took home a lot of good lessons...
I agree with migs, pag anjan na ung sealant, sealing naman ang topic!
