    sir jon !

after a few days of not covering my car because of the weather (tipong uulan, aambon), i discovered to my dismay that my one month old black city has scratches on the bumper and some on the body! Small scratches that can be felt by the fingernails . Tried mother's sealer and glaze, then megs scratch x, followed by my peborit wax........the scratches on the body medyo nawala....pero yung sa may bumper kita pa rin yung 2 1" scratches . medyo less noticeable nga lang sya pero nandun pa rin.

i guess kailangan ko talagang pagtyagaan na lang to use the car cover unless it's raining.

btw sir jon, are you familiar with megs mirror glaze? do you think i should still get that? i noticed ginagamit yun sa casa and at my suking carwash to remove scratches/blemishes. i already have:

    mother's reflections car wax
    mother's reflections top coat
    megs carnauba wax
    megs scratch x
    mother's sealer and glaze
3m IHG (1 sachet hirap spread eh LOL)
    3m Showcar wax (1 sachet)
    eagle one QD

i was meaning to text you but then i read in your profile that you're a lawyer....baka busy ka kaya dito na lang

    eto ba yun?

If yes, sulit yan.. Gamit ko lang eh black and decker na kp600 with cutting foam pad. Tanggal kahit light to heavy swirls.

that's exactly what i was talking about!!!!

BUT, hindi ganyan ung nakita ko sa blade eh. Its in a whitish slim container, 2 klase pa nga, mirror glaze for plastic ba yun, and there's another mirror glaze for.....(forgot). so i didnt buy because hindi ganun ung nakita ko na ginagamit sa casa. could it be na different packaging lang yun? (ay teka, yung containers ba sa pics mo "tingi"? that could explain bakit ibang container ung nakita ko sa blade.)

You can get those directly from the Megs dealer, Simex.
They're located at Kamias Street, near McDo.
You can reach them at 436-8361.

You can get #26 and #83 repacked in 8oz plastic bottles.

When were you able to get the M8008? Lagi kong nachechempohan na walang Speed Glaze whenever I go there.

Different packaging lang siguro yun. Yup tigni lang sya 300 ung isang squeeze bottle. Gusto ko nga bumili ng Synthetic selan 2.0 nila kaso walang tingi available, Nasa 4k yung isang gallon nya

Hai, in many ways, pareho tayo ng situation: daily driver, black paint, no covered garage, and daming kids sa neighborhood. Madali tuloy madumihan at magasgasan.

I think yung process mo, ok naman. Tuloy lang ang scratch x sa problem areas, then sealer and glaze lang for the spiderwebbing. Ganun lang talaga for the meantime, until it's time to do some machine polishing .

I've read na good ang mirror glaze line. Like the others have mentioned, you could try the M80-M83 combo. Kung meron naman M105 at M205, mas ok. Pero take note na dapat meron ka polisher for their paint cleaners/polishes/compounds. I have yet to try the products though.

In my case kasi, I've been getting good results with the Mother's PowerPolish and the PC7424. My experience: http://www.waxforum.com/showthread.php?t=3279

    Wala kayo sa situation ko.

I may have a covered garage and am fortunate enough to have a basement parking slot at the office.

But our area is teeming with stray cats! What do stray cats love to do? They love to seek shelter in our covered garage. What do they enjoy doing when they're in my garage? Why they love to get on top of my car (nighthawk black) and fornicate!

    Ggrrrrrr!

Car covers don't work with cats. When they get on top of a car cover, the fabric catches their claws and they seem to enjoy rasping their claws on the fabric.

I wish Megs or Moms or TW would produce a wax that emits odors that would repel cats.

    Wawawooow!

Busing busy tayo sa holy week ah. :D

Btw, I think you can skip DC1 if you use SwirlX. After using SwirlX, go straight to DC2, then to NXT2.0.

If your paint is relatively swirl free, then use DC1 instead of SwirlX.

Simex is just a 10 min drive from where I live. Kaya lang black listed na yung place na yon ng Misis ko. Pinagsabihan ako na ubusin ko muna yung tambak ng detailing products (she collectively refers to all of them as WAXes) bago ako bumalik ng Simex.

Kaya ayan, halos every weekend ako nag aapply ng #26. I just used up my NXT1.0. May nakapila pang NXT2.0, and another bottle of #26, #83 [I try to refrain from removing the catscratch every time they occur... kundi mauubos ang paint ko] and ColorX. Siguro next next year pa ako papayagan bumalik sa Simex. Sana bukas pa rin sila by then. :D

    There are two possibilities:

    • Single Stage Paint - If the car has single stage paint, then natural lang yon. Even just applying pure wax, may mahahawang kulay sa applicator pad or rag. If this is the case. then there shouldn't be any problem.
    • Naubos na yung clear coat - If the clear coat has been worn out, then malamang yung base color coat na yung natatamaan ng rubbing compound. Siguro hahawa na din ang kulay sa rag. IF this is the case, then talagang dapat hindi na mag rubbing compound.

thanks to sir vince got the detailing clay yesterday, i was able to use it today together with the meg's product that arrived yesterday also thanks to ma'am claire of simex. The clay bar works great took out all the roughness on the paint's surface. My car looks great except for some DRS that I can't remove using SwirlX on a KP600 with w8000 pad. I'm gonna try the products again tomorrow sa silver color SUV, tingin niyo mas okay kaya after the claying tangalin ko muna yung mga deep scratches with a scratch remover then swirlX to polish?
