April 28th, 2006 09:09 AM #1822Meron ako nakita na duster sa SM na parang CCD at waterblade na parang yung sa CCD din. Kasama ng mga demo products nila. Pati microfiber meron. OK kaya mga ito? Yung duster, instead of wax some sort of silicon daw ang nakaembed sa strands niya (less than P1K). Yung waterblade, silicon construction din daw. Yung microfiber, you get 4 towels for P400+.

RafRaf: Nothing beats the Original California Car Duster, think of it as an investment - it will last you around 5-6 years even without washing, just don't drop it. Sa Microfiber naman, get the Microtex available naman to locally.
BTW, Autoplus, the local distributor of Mothers will also sell CCDs, abangan mo na lang sa transport show, I think they'll have a booth.

yikes.. baked and etched already into the paint. that's one of the reasons why I don't let those sit on the paint for too long.
depending on the severity, polishing (DACP) or several applications of a scratch remover would greatly reduce the appearance of that defect. im a bit wary though that it might have eaten already through the clear. just make sure to rewax the affected part afterwards.
what i did before to get rid of a similar but extensive defect is to wet sand it. but mind you, I don't like to recommend wet-sanding to everybody because it thins the clear considerably and you have to be skilled and confident enough with your buffing skills to remove the sanding marks left by wet-sanding.

Pwede na ba yung 3M scratch remover? then I will wax it off na lang.
