Guys.. Just wondering if ano ang magiging effect ng pag-apply ng wax kapag medyo mainit pa ang surface ng paint?
*thx777: sorry i don't know anyone that sells the exact same paint for those instances that why what i did in my case was everytime i have a car repainted or repaired i just ask for the extra paints and have them put in an air tight container, there are some paint centers that can mix the paint for you but it would cost you a lot and they don't sell it in small quantities, the smallest they sell would be one quart.
*chickselog: sorry for the late reply, if you haven't had your car sealed, then i would recommend you have it sealed instead of the 2x wax, and actually if im not mistaken you could opt for the wash + seal + wax, you just add 500 pesos and leave the car with them overnight.
As for the Micromagic Applicator pads, they're ok, they not as bad and they do the job. They don't compare as much to Megs and SM Arnolds in terms of thickness and durability but hey for the price of 1:4? who could go wrong? They're actually good the only thing i notice about them is that they really are just like disposable foams, they get cut and punctured easily, they tear a bit faster as compared to other foam pads especially near emblems and on sharp edges, but once used with care im quite sure they can also last a little longer, also i notice the it tends to bend and curve after some use but not really a big deal. So for 88 pesos 4 pcs? i'll suggest you give it a go.
*chickselog: yup i did try it a few weeks ago, along with the MF cloth, thats 3 pcs for 88 pesos only, sad thing is that its just 12x12 a little too small for me but its quite thick compared to other cheap Mf alternatives within its price range. i had a priviledge of testing them before they were released to the market, they're setting up some more products, as well as Microtex, so stay tuned for more updates
*chickselog: same with what JM said, the wax would flash quite fast, actually in the real case scenario, when it says in the instructions to remove the wax after 30 minutes, its more like 15 minutes in our weather, and if its says like remove it in 10 minutes, that would be nearly like remove after application, waxes flash off really fast in our weather, and the sad thing is that once they flash and you don't remove them after you don't get uniform depth and color in the final finish
Guys, anyone who's interested in trying the new Microtex products? Try to go to MIAS this coming weekend, Microtex will be setting up a stall where you could see their products in live demo, and as early as now i'll say that there WON'T be any free samples but be sure to check out the booth, can't say what up yet but if you're a Microtex fan be sure to bring some cash and you'll be going home happy
So as the holy week was fast approaching, my aunt came over and asked me a huge favor, and by huge i mean Expedition Huge, this expedition was never detailed, was never waxed.
So here are some pics of the paint condition
Some water marks and etchings
Here's the roof filled with serious water marks every bit and part of it was covered with these, imagine my nightmare not to mention that the buffer can't get in between the roof water drain ridges where i had to use multiple applications of cleaner waxes and heavy pressure to remove
Some 50/50 shots of the side panel done with M84 M83 and M82
After shots of the tires done with Microtex Tire Black
Some rear shots with the plastic trims dressed with Microtex Tire Black, this product is actually more of a plastic and rubber conditioner rather than a tire black, i've used this on trims and other rubber plastic parts as well as in the engine with great results.

Continuation
Side panel shot
Side by side shot with my Innova
Finally the hood shot
P.S. Pardon the vanity, we forgot to take a picture of the hood alone, when we were reviewing the pics we just realized that this is the only hood shot we had so bear with me
So there, my aunt was so ecstatic when she saw the expedition she said it looks like new and offered to give me 8k for it, and me being the good girl didn't accept it, and now im actually thinking that i should have just accepted it instead hahaha detailing the whole exterior of the expedition took me and my BF two whole days to finish, not to mentioned when we got to baguio for our outing we were still so tired and our bodies still aching we actually just slept for the whole first day of our trip

I see.. Thanks! I'll buy those applicators on my next visit to Blade.. Nice detailing there! That pic where the roof is full of watermarks reminds me of our civicna naubos na ang clearcoat dahil sa watermarks..
Hands Down
meron bang nabibiling plastic or rubber conditioner?
wash>step2>microtex wax>top coat
*SG
Thanks! Ayun oh, sabi ni madkatz more of a plastic and rubber conditioner daw yung Microtex Tire Black, you might wanna give it a try hehe
*madkatz
Haha.. From the weakest polish to the strongest, oo nga naman.. Galing talaga! And judging from the pics it still has enough clear coat..!
Ok thanks sa info, siguro I'll ask nlang my SA if they can provide me with factory paint para exact dun sa kulay ng auto ko. Thank you ulet
Saw this video but I doubt if this is available locally.

chikselog I'm done detailing
grabe nakaka pagod. sobrang init kahit nasa shade yung garage. walang hangin na pumapasok tapos sobrang alikabok.
post pics later![]()
Nicesipag mo talaga magdetail hehe.. By hand ka ba magdetail sir?
sorry for crappy pics
