or Collinite 845 kasi may Top Coat ako?

    Good pm.

Newbie here. Thank you very much.

*SG: haha thats a tough one, if you still want to buy Mothers Step 3 i would recommend you go with paste instead of liquid, since its a little better, but if you are after a durable wax then i would suggest you go with 845, now if you wax often like every 2 weeks or every month then you could go with Step 3 paste since it gives a little more extra warmth and depth, but if you wax in intervals more than that, then i would suggest you go with 845, and since you have Topcoat, you can put on 845 and let it dry for about 4 hours and then apply Topcoat, the results would still look great since the Topcoat is outside. Another thing would be Step 3 paste for lighter colored cars and red, 845 for blue and blacks.

If you are after looks then i would say 845 first then Step 3, the reason being that this would bring Step 3's shine to the outermost layer and Step 3 does have a lot more deepening effect especially with darker cars as compared to 845, the trade off would be that the shine would not last as long since Step 3 IMO is not a durable wax, If you are after longevity and protection then i would suggest Step 3 first then followed by 845, your paint would look nice after you apply Step 3 but 845 does have a reputation of loosing its luster and shine after a few washes but the protection would still be in great condition even at this point. honestly i have never been really happy every time i try to layer 2 different waxes since the effects are not that compounded, you get more results with sealants and waxes, what you could do is apply 845 first for some long term protection and then just re-apply Step 3 for adding gloss from time to time, this way when Step 3 is gone you still have 845 as back up.

Oh yeah, someone from BB told me that 845 acts like a sealant because of its durability, so i guess in this manner 845 should be the first one to be applied if we are to consider it more as a sealant.

Thanks again Madkatz. Kakatapos ko lang mag detail. Inuna ko yung step 3 paste wax then 845.

Maganda din yung 845 mas water repellant sya kesa sa mothers and madaling i buff off.

Meron din ba curing time for layering yung 845 like klasse SG?

BTW.. What's the purpose of Mother's Reflections Top Coat? Is it a wax? a sealant? does it contain mild polishes?

Haha! Pareho pa naman tayo ng color. Since nakita ko na yung effect ng 845, baka yun nalang bilihin ko (or both )

Chikselog, di naman. Mahilig lang talaga ako mag linis. Hehehe..

Madkatz, ang waxing session ko weekly.

*jmpet626: i've read somewhere that the ideal drying time for waxes would be 4 hours minimum or for liquid and 8 hours for pastes, sealants are at 12 and 24 hours.

*Chickselog: Reflections Advance car wax is like Moms Step 3 with mild cleaners and is also nicer when used on darker cars in bringing out more gloss. Reflections Topcoat is a pure LSP, its a combination of waxes and polymers so i guess its a wax and a sealant, sort of a hybrid. If you are going to use it, it would be SwirlX + Step 2 + Step 3 + Topcoat or SwirlX + Step 2 + Topcoat.

*SG: wow weekly waxing, thats a great way to maintain a car, If you are after looks then go with Step 3 or better Reflections Topcoat, but if you are after durability then go with 845, and yes i agree with jmpet626, 845 does bead water like crazy.

Oh yeah, instead of buying Moms Step 3 paste wax, you could wait until march or april, hopefully march and wait for the arrival of Mothers FX Paste wax, i've read a lot of good reviews about it and about its huge difference in durability and shine compared to its liquid counterpart.

*jmpet626: if you love 845 then you'll definitely love 476, it looks the same as the 845, is harder to buff on since its a paste wax but it does a better job of beading water and it really lasts a long time without dulling.

Mga masters, pasingit naman. Ano pong medyo murang tire black or dressing na safe sa tires? Safe ba yung Elevo or ung D'best? Yung mga around 100-200 pesos lang sana. I tried searching here in tsikot pero ang nabasa ko lang is about using armor all (original I guess) which I'm not satisfied sa results. Nabasa ko rin about Rain harry tire black making the tire side walls brittle. I also went to bigberts a few weeks ago pero wala daw silang stock ng tire cream. So I guess my question is, ano po sa mga murang products and safe sa tires with decent resuls? Thanks!

which is more durable and mas matagal ang kintab?

    carlack68 nano systematic + collinite 476

    or

straight carlack68 nano sys. + longlife sealant?

    thanks.

*Dancho: sorry i didn't notice your earlier post, well it all depends on how much your budget is for one, next what are your goals? just adding gloss or paint correction as well? Another thing to consider would be the condition of the paint.

If its just plain adding gloss then putting on some wax would already greatly improve the appearance and gloss of the paint.

If you are planning on tackling paint defects lets say you need to remove oxidized paint then you need a cleaner wax

If you have problems with swirls and scratches there's 2 things you could do one is to hide it second it to remove it by leveling the paint layer, for filling you might need glazes and for leveling the paint you might need some abrasives for this one

It all depends on the condition of the paint and the above mentioned questions, it would be great if you could post pictures
