I was looking into a scenario for a cheap but reliable PhUV, here are my views:

1. Uses generic chasis similar to jeepneys
2. Ideally uses brandnew isuzu 2.8L engine - isuzu philippines is selling this package or 2.7L TD engine ng nissan common sa frontier.
4. The overall features is like a pick-up na nakadikit ang rear sa cab - parang yung dating nissan adsport ng pick-up. Yung cover sa likod can also be removed so pedeng gawin parang pickup.
5. The tires uses the cheapest in the market pero pang truck - HiMiller 8 plys na 15 or 16 inch metal rims pero for stability dapat 8 inch ang width.
6. Ang lapad niya ay parang NKR na truck - similar or even slightly wider than a starex van.
7. Doors ng rear passenger - only on one side - sa safe side lang and slide type pero hindi kamukha ng regular van, ang hinge nya ay kamukha ng design ng sa airplane. Then rear doors ay ambulance door type or yun kamukha ng isuzu hilander ng one side is bigger.
8. Spare tire is mounted on the rear door.
9. Merun nguso - unlike mga L300 vans - likely kasing haba ng nguso ng dmax or hilux/vigo
10. Ang location ng front and rear tires ay medyo malapit sa edge nila para maganda ang aproach and departure angle - good for steep angle climb like kung iaakyat sa gutter or something like that. Nakuha ko ang concept nito sa mga off-roaders.
11. Engine modification - if possible ay gawin intercooled turbo...for power and quick acceleration. I expect that this unit can run 140 kph lang. That way big brakes without abs can be enough. The 2.8L isuzu turbo version is available...adding an intercooler would be easy. Sa 2.7L nissan turbo intercooled is also available coming mostly from terano. Sa 2.5L 4D56 is also available in turbo intercooled version. The good part about these engines are that they are not yet EFI types so any backyard shop can handle after sales service nila.

Sa marketing of this vehicle...I am looking into the market of the AUV like revo/adventure/crosswind and Jeepney. Price should be within the Jeepney price but amenities would like the AUV's around.

Rough na drawing skills ko so wala pa akong sketch... pero the design follows the dmax sa front - except the front facia/headlights and grill design iba and the rear design is much like the modelong chevy suburban. The driver and passenger door would have the design similar to new NKR trucks na parang extended pababa yung windows for better view sa road and side mirrors.

I wanted the lights cheap and easy to replace...so yung rectangular type or circular design ng headlights na very common to most autosupply store ang choice ko.
