This thread covers the Symposium on Phil Utilty Vehicle(s) held at the De La Salle Dasmariņas campus, Julian Felipe Hall, on September 5, 2007. It was organized by the DLSU-D Development Studies Program Council, and fully endorsed by the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology.

In line with the celebration of the Month of Nationalism, the Development Studies Program Council will be holding an activity entitled
"Modernizing the Pinoy Cultural and Development Icon: Goodbye Jeepney, Hello PhUV?" on September 5, 2007 at the Bulwagang Jose Basa from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The objectives of the said activity are the following:
- To inform the community about the plan to revive the Philippine auto industry.
- To discuss the rehabilitation of the public utility vehicle and the mass transport system in compliance with existing environmental laws.
- To provide a venue for the formulation of a plan to revive and modernize the Cavite AUV/PUJ fabricators, based on the government's plan, through the PhUV Project.
The first part of the activity will be the forum at the Bulwagang Jose Basa. Afterwards, an exhibition and a parade of Philippine Utility Vehicles around the campus will immediately follow. ...
