December 1st, 2008 11:21 PM #23i think i can relate w/this. Usually kc ngging problem bg AUX fan is yung Fan Motor and Thermo Switch (eto yung pang automatic ng Fan). Since sau, sbi mo yung Fan ang problem mlamang ubos na yung CARBON inside or lumuluwag lang yung terminals sa loob (kc sbi nbbuhay nman)ng Fan Motor. Nabbuksan yung Fan Motor and pwde mo palitan yung CARBON sa loob or Hinangan yung terminals sa loob. Yung mga brand new na fan motor ndi na katibayan and kung surplus nman mhrap mkhnap kc medjo old model n yan. Try mo pbuksan sa electrician yung old fan motor mo and pcheck mo kung maooverhaul pa.

ei sir pearljam, ive heard that before, CARBON, not the one in CEBU but the one in the aircon fan. I asked a friend kasi bakit parang maingay (although slight lang naman) ung fan ng front passenger side na aircon vent, and he said baka CARBON lang daw...do aircon shops sell those or do those?
by the way my ride's a '96 Corolla GLI Matic...
thanks a lot for the advises!more power

merry x'mas pare koy,
Wala tlgang CARBON BRUSHES specifically made pra sa AUX FAN, You'll have to seek n lang ng ka-match nung carbon brush sa FAN mo. Sa Auto Supply mgtanong ka and better dalhin mo na din yung sample ng carbon brush mo pra may mpagtularan. Usually, alternator brush ng ISUZU C190 or Gemini ang kmatch or close-to ng Carbon ng AUX FAN.
