every 6 months linis? haha! kahit walang sira masisira yan. isa pang advice, always keep your interior clean. yung dumi hihigupin kasi ng aircon.

Overkill naman un every 6 mos. Anu yan nagdadrive ka na open windows 7 days a wk sa edsa? Agree with crazyboy, keep the interior clean lalo na floor mats para di mahigop ng aircon ung alikabok.

Kung nagkulang ng Freon it would mean na may leak. May problema nga kung ganun

I always keep the interior clean. Ako lang naman gumagamit ng auto and the mats don't get dirty that much. I clean my car weekly naman. Sabi nga ibang tao amoy bago pa rin tapos sabi casa may amoy AC ko

Have you noticed / felt a significant change in cooling after the AC filter was replaced?

I have not checked yet. My car is still at the casa. No leak naman daw freon.

Yes. I left it at the casa on Tuesday. I have not decided yet on whether or not to have it cleaned.I am leaning towards checking first if there is a change in the cooling. Hassle lang kasi pabalik balik sa casa.

I am just hesitant to have the cleaning done because I don't want to risk any kalampag or leaks to happen if the dashboard gets baklas.

Usually pag nagpalinisn na ako ng A/C palit na lahat condenser under the dash, expansion valve and drier.

Check on the cooling performance first, I'm inclined to believe that there should be improvement. If it satisfies you, then don't have it cleaned just yet. IMHO, your old filter was just way too clogged up na. There are two types of filters available in Toyota AFAIR, one is the ordinary pleated paper type, and the other has a charcoal layer over the pleated paper. This charcoal layer absorbs most of the odors inside the car.

You should change the AC filter periodically, say every 6 months.

Re: kalampag, etc. That is why I recommended you to Toyota casa, you're assured that they will do everything right the first time, and they are well equipped for the job. Plus you have job warranty.

Yeah suki ako sa Tower of David. They're still open. They moved to Pasay Road almost across Waltermart.

Sa bago pala hindi na kailangan ng regular cleaning. Palit filter na lang parati? Yung big body ko kasi alam ko ang bilis mabutas ng evaporator kasi hindi nalilinis.

you're talking about labatiba this process is called reverse flushing. there is a solvent under pressure injected into the cooling tubes to flush out contaminants and debris.

btt: the aircon never loses cold air. the air conditioner removes heat from the cabin and dumps it out to the ambient air via the condenser. it acts like a bilge pump of your boat- pumps the water out of the boat and dumping the water back to the ocean

oh yeah cold is the absence of heat.

I am not too sold on the idea of reverse flushing. I would rather go for the traditional cleaning.

Hindi ba mas lalaki gastos niyo nyan? Instead na linis lang naging replace tuloy?

Problema kasi sa linis may possibility madale ang ibang pyesa like mga gasket dahil sa pag baklas and kabit. Posible din na ang mga medyo maninipis na areas sa evaporator mabubutas na lang dahil sa cleaning solution or sa pag-brush ng dumi. Kaya ang sinasabi nila wait for it to die na lang before having it cleaned para at least prepared ka na may sira talaga and di ka magugulat sa presyo

The AC system is under pressure. Parang gulong lang yan. Konting butas lang ubos agad laman.
