Terrano JDM.

May nakabalandrang tube sa side ng air filter ko, so when I check it once in a while, pag ginalaw ko yun may sumisingaw (freon?), also may kakilala ako na sinabing hinawakan nya isa pang metal tube almost above the engine bay, dapat daw malamig yon. I see it dripping although at a very slow rate.
Sa center console, yung left air duct parang hangin lang, while yung right malamig, plus parang may lumalabas na hangin from the footwell kahit hindi nakadepress yung switch para don.

So rule out compressor?
Magkano kaya to have these tubings replaced, cleaning, at flushing ng system? Estimated cost ng evaporator?

We can keep on guessing all week. But why not just have it checked over at an auto-aircon shop? It doesn't cost much for a check to be done and you'll know what is really the problem with your AC.

    -check for leaks sa system
-check clutch fan mo kung ok pa( pinapalitan talaga iyan, it will cause high pressure sa system pag madulas na kaya mahina lamig.)
-check the compressor itself ( ok pa ba yung pressure generated at both Low side and High side)
-check if freon is at correct level( baka kulang lang, pag kulang meh leak yan)
-check and clean you cooling coil ( baka madame na din dumi o alikabok, at meh mga flux residue sa fins kaya again less airflow)
-check the drier/humidifier ( napapalitan din yan)
-check expansion valve ( baka madumi na at barado ) be sure na orig na expansion valve lalagay

madame shops gumagamit ng china na freon o kaya mga unknown brands.... mas ok if US brands dapat makita mo yung tank nila ng parang gasul na maliit... wag ka papayag pag freon eh galing sa isang canister that looks like refillable... baka peke yun..

Sumaglit ako sa Evangelista kanina, pumunta ako sa Maroon Car Aircon (Dallas st., left side if coming from EDSA). Eto quote sakin:

    Suction hose Php900
    Discharge hose Php900
    Labor, freon, cleaning, flushing Php1800

Di ako nakapagpa pressure and leak test kasi lakas ng ulan kanina. Kulang nga ang freon. Ok naman yung prices above?

I just had my car checked for a similar problem. It was found to be simply low on freon. The car is also 7-yr old and never had aircon service.

ayaw lumamig kapag mainit panahon? lumalamig ngunit bitin kapag malamig panahon?
    typical symptom of low freon.
but that's the easy part. the hard and potentially expensive part is, why are you low on freon? looking for the leak is the difficult part. it may be as cheap as improperly set valve. or as expensive as worn compressor. have it checked. if you don't believe the first check, have it checked by another shop, preferably not in evangelista.. baka mag-tawagan lang, e..

you haven't leak tested yet, and they are already saying you should have your hoses replaced??

I was the one who wanted to replace both hoses and fittings na lang since alam mo naman when they convert JDM vehicles, typical cut and weld, hanging freely yung suction hose near my turbo (also a year ago I had a hard time steering the vehicle, the pipe interfered with the steering gearbox ) , while my discharge hose ay nakaharang sa air filter ko and when I move it, may hissing sound which I suspect is freon.

I'd still have it tested for leaks first. Yun nga lang kahit 2kms away lang ako from Evangelista eh walang oras to have it checked.

Request muna ako opinions from other shops

papalitan mo na nga sir mga hose... a.c. flexible hose usually last for 5-7 years lang....

~ 13 year old honda CRV 2.0 liter. exactly ganoon ang symptoms. It all happened one day when biglang walang lamig. busy ako so pina ayos ko sa relative ko na amatuer mechanic. pumunta sya sa local aircon repair shop owned by his friend. butas evaporator. new evaporator + freon + labor cost 6000. symptoms like the above happened after ma ayos.

so since humina ang aircon after ma replace ang evaporator I assume na either maliit/low quality made in china ang evaporator or maybe somethings wrong with the freon. magkano kaya ayusin ito, using a good quality evaporator?

it should have been a back job right? there could be a slow leak in your system, have it rechecked

its been a couple of weeks. the quality of the cooling ahs not changed. doesnt that suggest that its not a leak? of course only checking the freon with a shop's meters and guages will show it for sure
