Depends on your eyesight, calistro. If medyo malabo, medium neutral magic (35%) when hit by a light source will reflect it and di ka kita sa umaga. If medyo malinaw, you can go with dark magic (15-20%) and it will produce the same effect on the outside but will be darker on the outside.
Thanks in Advance fellow tsikoteers. *cheers*
Ano po ba best brand and shade na tint pag gusto mong hindi ka kita sa loob pero clear ang visibility from the inside lalo na kapag gabi, at ung mataas ang heat rejection sa tanghaling tapat.
Up ko lang po yung question ni ronskiee since ganon din hanap kong tint.and if ever ba na hindi ko iavail yung free tint ng casa, maleless ba un sa Total price or papipiliin lang nila ako ng ibang freebie?
Anong brand ang model na with very good visibility at night, some degree of privacy (maski di masyado), good heat rejection and hindi affected GPS signal?
Hi Sir ronskiee. recommend ko lang po sa inyo ung Huper Optik Nano Ceramic Window Film. up to 96% heat rejection,99.9% protection from harmful UV rays, 5 years warranty, NO SIGNAL INTERFERENCE and PLUS MORE benefits pa po. German technology at the same time pa. Suggestion ko lng po sa gusto nyo na shade sa tint is Front Windshield C30 (Nuetral Tone) 86% heat rejection then Sides to Rear Windshield pwede pong C15 (medium) 96% heat rejection or C05 (super dark) 92% heat rejection.
for more questions or clarifications sir pwede nyo po akong itxt or twagan.

Tint series that belong to same tier will provide comparable (but not exact) heat rejection performance. Tint series that belong to higher tier provides higher performance but generally costs more.
Consider also the warranty length. 5-7 years warranty are pretty common now.
Tier 1:
V-Kool VK and X series
Nano-Tech Clear Sky series
Huper Optik X3 Ceramic, Nano-Ceramic and Clear Ceramic series
SolarGard LX and Silver series
3M CR series
Llumar Ultra Performance, SpectraSelect and Windshield series
Tier 2:
V-Kool K series
Nano-Tech VIP, Charcoal and Reflective series
Huper Optik Klassisch, Klassich Black and Shield series
SolarGard HP and Sterling series
3M BC, CS, and FX-HP series
Platinum MNSR series
Llumar Deluxe and High Performance series
Tier 3:
V-Kool OEM series
SolarGard Non-HP series
3M FX-ST series
Platinum MX and MBSR series
Llumar Standard and Premium series
Higher VLT will give you more visibility. Lower VLT will give you more privacy. Higher TSER will give you more heat rejection. Some metallic based films will have some effect on GPS, but not all. Dye-based and Ceramic films will not interfere with GPS.
VLT (Visible Light Transmittance)
The percent of total visible light that is transmitted through the window film/glass system. The lower the number, the less visible light transmitted.
Glass (No Tint) = 90% VLT
Super Clear Tint = 60% to 70% VLT
Clear Tint = 40% to 50% VLT
Light Tint = 30 to 35% VLT
Medium Tint = 20 to 25% VLT
Dark Tint = 10% to 15% VLT
Super Dark Tint = Below 10% VLT
Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER)
The percentage of the total solar energy that is rejected. TSER includes visible light, infrared radiation (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) energy.
Has anyone tried installing 2 tints in the windshield? Inside and outside. I'm not sure if wipers will eventually tear off the tint film on the outside, but if it's not, this makes sense to me, double protection from the outside. The idea is to use V Kool on the inside and solargard on the outside. V kool for heat rejection, solargard for adding privacy.
tint is installed inside. pwede ka gumamit ng double tint sa loob. meron thread actually para dyan..

I've heard of folks getting the high end VK series (or whatever is the clear VKool line), and then getting a layer of super black. This way, they get the best heat rejection and have a high level of privacy. I just don't know if they put 2 levels up front.
I have no experience doing double tint up front -- except for a visor, but that's another story as I do not expect much visibility on the visor level, especially at night.
logically, double tint will provide you with higher heat rejection and higher privacy but reduced visibility. this is like using a single dark tint but just with increased heat rejection.
let's try some combo..
high-end V-Kool VK70 + super black SolarGard HP Supreme 6
VK70
VLT = 70%
TSER = 55%
SolarGard HP Supreme 6
VLT = 4%
TSER = 58%
Combined VLT = 0.70 x 0.04 = 2.8% --> very low visibility, too dark for night driving
Combined TSER = 0.55 + (0.55 x 0.58) = 86.9% --> excellent heat rejection
====
high-end V-Kool VK70 + medium black SolarGard HP Supreme 22
VK70
VLT = 70%
TSER = 55%
SolarGard HP Supreme 22
VLT = 22%
TSER = 55%
Combined VLT = 0.70 x 0.22 = 15.4% --> good privacy, acceptable for night driving with caution
Combined TSER = 0.55 + (0.55 x 0.55) = 85.25% --> excellent heat rejection
===
high-end V-Kool VK70 + light black SolarGard HP Supreme 35
VK70
VLT = 70%
TSER = 55%
SolarGard HP Supreme 35
VLT = 35%
TSER = 44%
Combined VLT = 0.70 x 0.35 = 24.05% --> good privacy, good for night driving
Combined TSER = 0.55 + (0.55 x 0.44) = 79.20% --> very high heat rejection
====
mid-range V-Kool K37 + medium black SolarGard HP Supreme 22
K37
VLT = 37%
TSER = 47%
SolarGard HP Supreme 22
VLT = 22%
TSER = 55%
Combined VLT = 0.37 x 0.22 = 8.14% --> very good privacy, quite dark for night driving
Combined TSER = 0.47 + (0.47 x 0.55) = 72.85% --> heat rejection higher than VK40 or VK70 alone

Hindi na nga heat rejection. Sight rejection na! Hehe!
But seriously, don't do a double tint up front. Sa gilid pwede naman coz you can roll down the windows if you need to see better, plus you're not looking out that much. But with the windshield, you don't have those options.

after doing some research and based on my own experience, i think for me, the best tint will be the v-kool X series. it is dark (for privacy) but has very good visibility from the inside (which i think no other brand can match), it also has high heat rejection (based from experience). i am now saving up for the X series which i wish to install on my compact suv perhaps next month at hpm in d.tuazon![]()
