    sir:

im planning to have my all new grand starex tinted with 3M either Black Chrome 10 or Black Chrome 20, mga how much kaya estimate kung nakafull lahat? Sir, if gabi, klaro ba ang outside view mo if naka Black Chrome 10 ang front windshield? or do you suggest to have your front windshield with a Black Chrome 20 or Black Chrome 35?

    thank you sir.

    Hi,

I was surfing the net to look for the best car tint brands available in the market today and accidentally i saw this link to tsikot.com so i visited this site and finally I registered to be a member so i can join this thread on car tints.

I recently bought a honda civic 1.8s alabaster silver and of course it comes with free tint from Honda. The only choices was light black, medium black and super black. My old car is also a civic but it's not a 3m brand. The shade is super cool black. It's black from the outside but if you're inside the car you can still see clearly even during night time. I wanted again a dark black tint for my new honda so i chose the super black. I don't want a silver looking from the outside. Magmumukhang isang silver kasi yung car ko. Mas maganda tignan pag super black yung tint para me break sa color. Tsaka kawawa din yung ibang motorist pag natapat sa me one-way silver looking tint during day time kasi glaring. So ayaw kong makainis ng tao. When i got my unit yesterday, i missed my old civic. The tint was too dark. Yun pala 2-ply yung super black na 3m FX-ST na nilagay sakin. Partida, hindi ko pa muna pinalagyan ng tint yung front windshield kasi nga medyo duda ko sa tint na ilalagay. At true enough, ang dilim i had difficulty looking at the side mirror and halos diko na makita yung likod ko from the front mirror. Hay badtrip talaga! So i decided to have it change ASAP! kesa naman mabangga ako. Nagsisisi tuloy ako sana pala hindi ko na inavail yung free tint na yun. Ngayon nenerbyosin pako pag pina tanggal ko yung existing tint ko at baka tamaan yung defogger kung hindi marunong yung gagawa.

I hope you can recommend someone na super expert mag tanggal at maglagay ng tint. Yung masipag maglinis ng glass para siguradong walang maiiwan at lulusot na alikabok o particles that would cause bubbles in the long run. At tama yung mga gadgets na ginagamit na pang tanggal ng tint at pagkabit. Sa banawe kasi bara bara lang yung tools na gamit e parang yero lang at mumurahing sabon ata kaya di natatanggal yung dumi.

I hope someone can help me decide on the brand and shade of the tint. I want a dark black looking from the outside but if I'm driving i can still see clearly from the inside. Siguro yung front windshield ko 1-2notch lighter shade than my windows and rear glass window.

Ilang hours nakong nagbabasa ng mga threads/blogs on tints and i've encountered solar gard, CS 3m Panther, Mirareed, V-kool, Ecotint, and Rike cool. Out na sa list ko ang Platinum and Sungard. Any advice ano ok sa mga brands na to? Which one is value for money?

So far based on my research on the internet ok si Solar Gard. I still have to research on the other brands napako na kasi ako dito sa site na to eh

I would appreciate any feedback from you guys.

it depends on your taste... for me 3M CS35.. and based on experience, solargard is better than 3M in terms of heat rejection..

go for magic tints (ito yung parang salamin) It deflects more heat and good visibility too!

I have 3m black magic tint on the windshield and the visibility is not affected

have my ride tinted in LA cars, and im satisfied, medyo strict nga lng sa pagaalaga ng tint, hehe. tyka medyo masungit ung installer, i have installed Solargard Quantum something (nakalimutan ko na eh), Ok naman pati visibility, pero pag tlga sa dark places, medyo mahirap lumingon sa side mirrors, ung mga tipong kalyeng walang poste ng Ilaw? for me parang headlight lng nakkta ko sa side mirrors eh,

Thanks LA cars, sayang wala ba kaung sticker??

Im sorry about the installer's attitude. Per the guide lines posted on the tint room: The customers are advised not to carry any conversations with the tint installers upon application as their work gets affected. The tinters are also asked to refrain from entertaining concerns, of which, must be brought to the attention of the sales girls instead of the installers.

We had to impose this due to the nature of the job which requires focus and skill, hence any conversation causes them to be distracted. Im sorry again. Hope the tint was applied well. If there is anything we could do for you, please do not hesitate to let me know.

How do you distinguish an authentic from a fake V-Kool (VK-70)? Are these the correct requirements to verify that you have an authentic one?

    1) Since VK-70 (allows 70% light passthrough) is transparent color by default, it will take on the original hue of the car's window. Since majority of our cars have a greenish window, the tint's hue (when applied) will inherit the same color.

    2) Infrared light passthrough is severly diminished. E-pass and infrared-based automatic garage door openers only works 1 time out of 10.

    3) The tint's wrapper (i.e. the plastic you remove on the actual tint before application) should have the V-kool logo all over it.

    4) 5-year Warranty card to be issued by the dealer.

    5) Must pass the official V-Kool International Authentication System (IAS)
    http://www.v-kool.com/ias.html

Is there a list of official distros around Metro Manila?

    Thanks!

Depending on the make and model. After some years, the greenish effect of the tint will come into place.

Well you could say 4 out of 10.

Your'e right. Its not visible on the tint itself but on the protective cover.

    Yes.

Yes if you were in Singapore, Malaysia etc. But this system is not yet available here.
