3M seems better considering that I'm using magic neutral na 3M and darker shade of Solar Guard on the same vehicle. But most of the time, it will not really be that drastic to become noticeable. They're pretty much equal in my book considering the cost savings you get with SG.
They didn't charge me tint removal at Araneta Car Accessories (Jeff Tan's place) when I had the Vitara tinted (platinum magic dark if I recall right). I think Winterpine does not charge also if you get the film from them.
Starex na hindi 3M (Polaroid, Platinum, or Neuvision ata ito) is around Php4,500.00. 3M is Php6,000 up.

For the Fortuner:
I had Solar Guard's "Super Black" installed for the side windows and rear windshield. This film is quite thick so the installers couldnt do a one piece for the rear windshield. It is not 100% stealth bec. you can still see people inside if you squint through the glass or at certain angles.
For the front windshield, Quantum Magic Super Black was installed so that it wouldnt be too dark when travelling at night.
Anyway, the reason I opted for the SolarGuard and Quantum is because of the positive posts/reviews regarding it esp. from those who installed the tint on a similar vehicle as mine. It is also cost less than 3M and to me, 3M tints are a bit overhyped.

--on paper mas mataas ang heat rejection ng Solargard vs. 3m. and when comparing their prices, make sure na counterpart models/shades and pinag-cocompare. pwede kasing lumabas na mas mura ang isa, yun pala lower model
JMHO
isa pa, do a lot of research para less ang chances na nagkamali. ako nga todo research na pero may mali pa rin

Agree. Don't get too much into the hype of 'tint rooms' ek-ek. Whereas some of the better shops in Araneta and Banawe don't even have tint rooms pero maganda.
