I couldn't help but read the quoted post of jut abovrme where he mentioned that only the VK series is metallic in VKool's lineul but you said a few days ago that the X and the K series are also metallic.

    Which is which?

X series has high TSER because of the multi-layered advanced metal matrix composite aka MMC

the VK series and X series are Metallic.

    ABOUT METAL MATRIX COMPOSRE (MMC)

The V-KOOL X05 series is a multi-layered MMC stack, which consists of a titanium composite material coupled with a metallic alloy, both sputtered onto top grade PET substrate. The MMC material derived from this titanium composite-metallic alloy combination results in a fusion of high performance materials that improve properties in automotive application in terms of fatigue or wear resistance, thermal conductivity, engine efficiency and others.

MMC is nearly always more premium and value-for-money than the more conventional materials they are replacing. In many instances, MMC using such titanium composite material have been shown to provide a performance advantage over a monolithic metal. Its applications are also found in space systems and high-end or "boutique" sports equipment.

huper optik "ceramic" range is premium non metallized tints.
I prefer sunbloc ultra for my next purchase though.

go for light vlt(40-80%) for the sunroof if you want to see the beautiful blue skies or evening stars or even the rain. i keep my sunroof open in
the evening. if its dark you cant see much.

Thanks for the tip. I am not too keen on visibility because my eyesight is very good.

If you dont mind me asking, what is the equivalent of this for vkool, if there is any. Thank you.

It might cost 26k or higher for your Ford Everest 2017.

I like how huper optik lessens glare compared to the 3m CS series, but huper doesn't allow the RFID bar to be read from the windshield. Minor gripe but Ipd be more comfortable with the tabstrip inside the car.

What? I thought this is suppose to not happen with ceramic tints? The main reason why people get ceramic tints is because it doesn't interfere with RF signals while keeping the heat rejection to an acceptable level.

What can I do, scanner didn't read the RFID strip. Wasn't expecting it that time to be honest.

I'd probably try Sunbloc on my windshield and see how it fares. I wouldn't want their magic tint installed though

Yeah, don't get me wrong though, I simply am baffled why their cermamic tints did not work as expected. No pun intended

I have this right now, windshield light and the rest are medium. I can feel the heat of sunlight as I drive around 1 PM. My old CR-V 98 has nanotech with 91 % (more or less) and I have no complaints except that it's quite dark during evening drive. I got used to it...

I think the premium edition is better, once I get through with my expenses.

The casa gave the essentials for free on our Everest. Medium on WS and 1st row windows. i can also feel the heat, although the aircon makes it bearable.
