I did. VK70. Had to open my windows every single time. Now with 3M tints, even if the easytrip is in my glovebox, the sensor can read it. No problem also with my Vkool OEM 20 in my other car.

None. You can try Huper but I think they still have interference.

Lesser known brands like Sunbloc and Nanotech have no interference. Just not sure if heat rejection is good.

I'm torn if I'll get clear tints again for my next car or the usual VLT 20 and VLT 5.

There was a forumer here who posted positive feedback on the Nanotech 9060 over a year ago.

Haven't bit the bullet myself. Will just give a review of whatever tint I decide to get later on.

Sheesh. Will check em out. So vkool is notorious for interference?

I use Huper C70(clear) on my windshield, zero issues with my EC tag for almost 3 years on dailying NLEX.

On my other car with VK70 na vkool, need to roll down windows pa.

Just the VK series. The OEM, K, and X series are easytrip-friendly.

We have the VK on the Xtrail's windshield. I don't know if it is just paranoia, but sometimes even the phone GPS signal is weak.

Yes I actually lodged a formal complaint with VKool on this and even showed them the poor GPS reception on my iPhone 6 and Note 4. These 2 phones would get quick GPS locks in my other car with OEM20.

However, when I upgraded to a Note 5, I would get quick GPS locks regardless of tint, so fast-enough hardware can overcome the interference from GPS.

Their HQ didn't honor my complaint saying that only RFID has interference, but my service advisor allowed me to change my windshield tint anyway, citing that it was possibly a bad batch. Didn't push through since I'm sure it's an inherent VK problem and retinting won't solve it.

I knew it wasn't the phone. VK is expensive pa. Good thing we cheaped out and only put VK on the windshield. Car would've turned into a Faraday cage if it were applied all around.

Hi Jonathanne, thank you for being very accommodating and responsive to my queries. Jong and Norman from Ford Libis were also very patient and helpful. While they installed the tint I walked to Eastwood Mall and came back 3 hours later to pick up the unit. I didn't have time to fully check the quality of the work... will give more feedback in the coming weeks. Heat rejection seemed very good. Naging makulimlim lang kanina so couldn't really test it. Yung medyo alangan lang ako is the level of privacy. I was initially intending to have 30 installed sa front and 5 sa sides, but was convinced by Jong and Norman to have 15 sa sides instead kasi sobrang dilim na ang 5 daw sa gabi. After the installation though, feeling ko parang kita pa din sa loob. So if your priority is really privacy, you might want to consider 5 talaga sa sides and back. or maybe 15 all around.

Anyway, will continue to observe and give feedback, specially once the tint has fully cured.

By the way, in terms of value for money, I compared the huper optik to solar gard LX (was quoted 28K if I remember correctly) and solar gard ultraperformance (was quoted 19K). The TSER of huper optik was much higher than those of solar gard, so I decided to invest in huper optik.

Got mine done din last Saturday. This is our 3rd car na HO. This time all ceramic na with C30 in front, C15 on the sides + rear and C70 on top.

I have to agree with the poster before me. I got used to VKool 5 sa sides and feel like it's too transparent/light. Dapat ata nag C5 ako in the sides. Suprisingly though mas mataas heat rejection ni C15 than C5 ata. Correct me if I'm wrong.
