Ask ko lang sana yung mga naka-double tint..medyo light kasi yung tint na makukuha kong Starex sa gray market..hindi ba parang may grado o blurred ang effect ng double tint?

imho waste of money ang double tint. patanggal mo na lang old tint mo then apply a darker tint.
di ganon kaganda and kapit ng tint on tint. also mas lalabo.

I used to do this so many years ago. I first put the silver tint, tapos pinatong ko ang medium gray. Kahit na sa anong angle and lapitan mo ang window ng car at silipin kung may tao sa loob, wala ka may makita. But again, depende talaga para sa anong purpose mo gagawin, it is good para maging super manyak tint talaga, hehe
I did this before also on some of out cars. We did this to the front driver and passenger windows as we wanted dark tint but needed the side mirrors to be seen properly. The purpose of the double tint was that we cut the second tint layer (top) at the part where the eyesight of the driver is to the sidemirrors. The result was you can see the mirrors well at night and yet from the outside, the tint still looks "buo" as you don't see the tint cut inside.
I have been using double tint on my rides. Privacy and heat rejection are priorities for me, and super dark isn't what it used to be as in the early 90s ;)
Also, taller vehicles allow more external visibility. Because the windows are at eye level, chances are, you can see through the tint and to the other window somewhat. For shorter vehicles, since their windows are below eye level, there's not much external light because it's the color of the upholstery that you're seeing and that's usually not bright enough to make you see what's inside the car.
To the TS, if you're vision is good, you can add another wraparound layer. If not, then you can add another layer to the rear windows.
Thanks for the tips guys! I just picked up my Starex today and I'm actually enjoying the feeling of tints that are not as super dark as my FD. I'll probably keep it like this for now until I get tired of it.
same time nyo ba pinakabit yung 2 layer of tints, i.e. 2 new tints? or different years, i.e. old tint pinatungan ng new tint?
The peeling or bubbles will depend on the installer mainly, and the tint. Assuming the first layer was done by a competent installer and cured long enough, installing the second layer won't be a problem.
Oh, just one caveat. The rubber lining on the door frame that guides the window is harder and or thicker on some cars, so this may cause problems if the tint used is too thick. This used to be a problem on my circa 1995 Mazda 626. Isn't an issue with my current rides (Toyotas and a Hyundai) though.
An experienced and/or competent installer will know this and will check it.
Just want to ask if there is a ruling re: which layer to install first. Is it dark OVER lighter shade or vice versa? Or anything goes? Is it ok to have a double layer of MAGIC TINT?
If it's both black, any would do. I usually go with the darker one first, then kung kulang, add another layer.
What I don't like about magic tint is the glare. I think it would be better if you did the magic first then went for a black second layer. Pangbawas sa glare at the same time pampadilim sa labas.
Did this before during college days with my car back then, a Civic EK Wrap around magic tint (light) tapos pinatungan ko ng 3M super black yung sides and back glass, ganda sana ng heat rejection kaso hirap sa gabi, well.. I was younger then kaya di problema yung vision, yun nga lang pag aatras obligado kang buksan ang windows. A couple of years later inulit ko to sa nabili kong "war car" at the time, a boxtype Sentra 1.6 which I got dirt cheap, yun naman naka dark magic tint na from the previous owner pero pinanggigimik ko kasi yun kaya pinatungan ko ng cheapo super black tint galing sa tabi tabi ng Banawe. Feeling ko nga minsan parang pininturahan ng pylox black yung mga salamin ko pero nasanay din ako. The person who bought it off me scraped the tints even before leaving our house, wala daw sya makita.
^Eh kung Pylox effect ba naman. Sight rejection, hindi lang heat rejection!
Perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with double tint at all.
Advisable not to get it done on the front windshield and the front side windows - everywhere else should be fine. Best brand applied to the window and even a not-so well known brand can be the second layer.
