X-series costs roughly the same as the VK-series, close to 40k for a sedan.

grabe ang mahal pala. kala ko mga 10k lang wrap around ng x-series kung hindi kasama ang windshield.

Vkool offers a lot of promos anyway. Got my VK wraparound for less than 20k. I'm sure they can give similar discounts for the X-series.

This thread really helped me alot in which tint to pick.

We had VK30 WS+K14 wrap around (14.5K) installed on one vehicle and X15 WS+OEM5 sides+OEM20 (13K) rear on another. You could also opt for the Xseries for all windows at 18K.

All prices deductible with the value of the free tint you're getting at Toyota. Very satisfied with the quality of the tints coming from 3M. Only complaint is that installer didn't put safety measures informing user not to roll down windows but still very happy nonetheless.

Currenty having my VK70 installed. They parked the car right inside the showroom instead of the tinting rooms in the back.

They say that installing the VK series takes longer than their other tints, because they're much more careful cuz backjobs get charged to them. Also, the VK tints are thicker and harder to mold onto the windows.

Tint install done. The installers were really friendly, pati yung receptionist, lagi akong kinakamusta. Took a little over 3 hrs to install the whole thing. It was a pretty boring wait, but I wanted to see firsthand how they did it.

    Initial impressions on VK70 wraparound:

    1. It's not as heat-free as I thought. Nararamdaman ko pa rin yung init sa balat ko. With my old K14, di talaga siya ramdam. We'll see if it gets better.

    2. GPS reception is hampered significantly. Before, my iPhone would lock in my location within 5 seconds. Now, it takes about 30 seconds for me to get a lock. Will try later with my Samsung (with weaker GPS) to see how long it takes.

    3. Glass is quite blurry. Reading plate numbers of cars in front of me requires me to squint. Is this normal? This is the first time I had tint installed after bringing the car out of the casa so I'm thinking maybe it just needs a bit of curing time.

Last night, my car got rained on since the parking here at our badminton place is open. Wonder how that affects my tint - until now kasi, even if nakabilad, I still see some bubbles and there's still some blurriness.

    baka tag init nun bro
sakin kasi 1st time ko lang yung huper, sakto feb 2015 tag init na. 1 whole day babad the next day sa araw as per advice by Huper rep. natuyo naman agad, kaya naglabasan lahat ng dirt between the tint and windshield
    buti nalang may warranty din.
btw enjoy mo ba yung new ride?

yung sakin nga puro bula. dami trapped dust kahit tint room kunyari.

Nakakaawa naman if I have to have it reinstalled. The installers are really friendly and I watched the whole time, and they were doing their best.

    Sana mawala nalang yung bubbles.

Yes bro. They installed my tint sa showroom mismo instead of the tinting room sa likod.

Good for you. Their tinting room is not so clean. It's inside a workshop.

    Thanks.

Was originally comparing VKool with Solargard kasi. Thinking of going with either the X15 wraparound + VK40 or 70 for the windshield, pero ang laki ng price difference compared to the Solargards which our other cars have. The Quantum series seems to tick my boxes for incar visibility and exterior privacy. Since hindi pala super laki yung difference ng heat rejection, may as well go back with Solargard for the price.

Have both of these tints installed on our cars. Personally I'd put the vkool on the windshield if you want it clear and solarguard on the rest of the windows. But if you don't mind a darker front i'd just put solarguard on all windows. [emoji106]🏽

Anyone here have 'V Kool' tint?
