Anyone here have 'V Kool' tint?

Malaki na ba ang chance masira ang defogger sa pag scrape ng old tint, kapag 6 1/2 yrs na yung old tint? Dalawang putol kasi yung sa rear glass ko, nahahati na. Pangit tignan. Kung malaki chance na masira ang defogger baka di ko na palitan yun. Kailangan na palitan tints, ang init na grabe. Will drop by VKool to inquire muna.

Try mo maghanap ng DIY tint removal. May trick akong natandaan that required garbage bags, a liquid, and bilad sa araw. When the time comes ako na lang siguro magtatanggal ng tint sa back glass para kung masira ang defogger at antenna I only have myself to blame

Time is money kasi sa mga shops so mamadaliin talaga nila trabaho.

yes, i know but you never answered the question. sa akin kasi no big deal dahil never ko nagamit yung rear defogger.

anyways, nagpa-install ako ng new tint sa rear windshield sa Solar Gard Santolan. libre tanggal ng old tint. working pa rin ang defogger. it's a 2002 Toyota Revo.

why not let the V-Kool installer handle the tint removal in your car?

nasa-MID yung setting ng Aircon at Fan. wala digital temperature display ang Revo so i can't tell ano exact temperature.

I see... How bout the fog? di ba nagkakaroon ng fog lalo na makakas ang ulan at night. same mid setting din ba ang A/C mo pagmalakas ang ulan at night?

Tuwing maulan lang and nagffog yung rear window. And sometimes pag malamig na masyado aircon, same as kimbon lang. OC rin kasi ako kaya kinakabahan ako sa defogger, kahit ba bihira magamit. Anyway, that's good to know na okay pa yung sa Revo. Since 2002 may tint na sya sa rear windshield?

yup, orig 3M tint installed in 2002. pinalitan ko ng Solar Gard tint this Feb 2014 lang kasi faded na at di na clear. maingat naman mga installer sa pagtanggal ng old tint. bantayan mo na lang if kinakabahan ka.

Update: My front windshield tint was replaced earlier c/o Ms. Jane. When she saw the scratches, payag agad.

Nag inquire ako sa Tinthub, nung tinignan nila tint ko, sabi nila Lumina lang daw yun (free casa tint) and madali lang daw tanggalin. Ang 3M daw ang sobrang makapit sa salamin sabi nung installer nila. True enough, unti unti kong hinila yung corner part ng rear window hanggang sa unang linya ng antenna, madali lang matanggal. Sana lang walang madale na linya ng defogger pag tinanggal na talaga. Plastic din yung "scraper" na gamit nila.

Had my 99 CRV tinted kanina sa Tint Hub Auto Camp Ortigas. K14 all around, K28 front windshield. P7.5 total damage. I like their attention to detail, down to the power window stickers they give. Will observe if meron back job. Tint is too fresh to pass judgement.

Had mine done kanina sa Autohub Ortigas. OEM5 sa side windows, OEM20 sa rear window. Defogger still working, thankfully, but they said I can't use it while the tint is still curing. Okay sila gumawa, maingat sa kotse. Tinutukan ko talaga gawa nila so maybe that helps. No scratches sa interior panels and glass so far and ok yung tint, may mga konting dot-like bubbles lang, as expected, and may konting umaangat na tint sa defogger lines, na baka normal lang din sa bagong tint. Heat rejection is very noticeable compared sa previous free casa tint ko. Like sir paolorenzo, may stickers din binigay for the power window buttons. Will observe kung ok sya in the coming days pero para sa isang OC na tulad ko, thumbs up sa installation. Sana ok pa rin ang kapit pag nag-cure na.
