Tried parking the car under the sun during noon time for about an hour at pagbalik ko hindi gaanong mainit ang loob ng car. Ang mali ko lang yung pinili ko na OEM 35 for the windshield, ok heat rejection nya pero kitang kita ako from the outside, should have gone with OEM 20 for the windshield, pero pinapatungan ko na lang ng 3M FX-ST 35, so ngayon ok na ko with the windshield.
Bro, how much for the VKool OEM?

Not bad. Thanks. Gotta ask them how much for my suv. Hehe! Still haven't gotten it done due to timing and the wild weather. Though I've sort of come to a conclusion to what I think I want, until it's installed, it's still open.

To give you an idea, I had one of our GS tinted with Vkool K series just before holyweek this year which was also done by Tinthub, it cost me less than 10k, alam ko mas mura ang OEM kesa sa K series.

Ron, maybe this is too much pero pwede patingin ng tint na kinabit sa Corolla Altis mo? Pics naman sir.

SG, TSER of V-Kool OEM 05 is 70%, infrared rejection rate or heat rejection is 78%. SolarGard HP Charcoal 06 has a TSER of 58%, they did not published its IR rejection or heat rejection rate.

I can post the pics of my TB here. It has VKool OEM 05 on its side and rear windows.

I availed of their promo a couple of weeks back. Had VK-40 for the windshield and OEM 5 for the sides and rear. the windshield has bubbles on the bottom part. Looks like, they're going to have to do it again but I'm satisfied with the heat rejection of Vkool. Its their installers who leave much to be desired

    Q: What is TSER?
A: Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER) is the percentage of the total solar energy that is rejected. TSER includes visible light, infrared radiation and ultraviolet energy. The higher the percentage, the higher the percentage of solar energy deflected. Most tinting shops use Infra Red Rejection (IRR) as a guide to the level of heat rejection. However, IRR only covers a fraction of TSER. Internationally, TSER is used as a guide as it is a more accurate way of measuring heat rejection.

    TSER
    V-Kool OEM 5 = 46%
    SolarGard HP Charcoal 6 = 58%

My personal comparison of TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejected) data among brands. Do take it with a grain of salt.

Tint series that belong to same tier will provide comparable (but not exact) heat rejection performance.

Tint series that belong to higher tier provides higher performance but generally costs more.

Consider also the warranty length. 5-7 years warranty are pretty common now.

    Tier 1:
    V-Kool VK and X series
    Nano-Tech Clear Sky series
Huper Optik X3 Ceramic, Nano-Ceramic and Clear Ceramic series
    SolarGard LX and Silver series
    3M CR series
Llumar Ultra Performance, SpectraSelect and Windshield series

    Tier 2:
    V-Kool K series
Nano-Tech VIP, Charcoal and Reflective series
Huper Optik Klassisch, Klassich Black and Shield series
    SolarGard HP and Sterling series
    3M BC and CS series
    Platinum MNSR series
Llumar Deluxe and High Performance series

    Tier 3:
    V-Kool OEM series
    SolarGard Non-HP series
    3M FX series
    Platinum MX and MBSR series
    Llumar Standard and Premium series

Anyone here have 'V Kool' tint?
