Paris is nice but visiting one of the small towns in France can be just as rewarding, especially if you have the time to simply walk around and explore on foot.
BTW, when going to France, the usually snobby french people tolerate tourists better if the tourist try to speak in french. Even learning a few common phrases & greetings can help in certain situations.

March 19th, 2009 01:45 AM #25I have been all over the United States(East,West, North and South includes Hawaii and Micronesia), been also to most of the places in the Carribean like Jamaica,Barbados, St.Lucia,British Virgin Island,Sto.Domingo in Dominican Republic,Cancun,Acapulco and Mexico City. But all the places I have been to, my favorite all the time is Cuba, being in Cuba seems to be like in the Philippines 50 years ago, since it is a Communist country everything has frozen in time almost everywhere, the culture and the people including most of 1950's car still running around in good shape, I am recommending Cuba to everybody to see before Communism collapse, it's a must see.
