For peace and order:

We should have an Internal Security Act that permits arrest without trial (like in Singapore). However this power of the state should only be used against terrorists and violent criminals. It should not be used against the peaceful political opposition, journalists, etc.

For a livable Metro Manila:

We can transform Metro Manila if we do it by parts. Start by redesigning and rebuilding the main bus stops in Cubao, Crossing, Guadalupe, etc.

Design goals:

1) Seamless transfer from one mode of transportation to another.

2) The layout of the bus stops should be in such a way that the buses do not block the movement of other vehicles.

3) The passenger waiting area should
- be wide enough (to avoid overcrowding)
- have a roof
- be accessible by covered walkway.

4) Aesthetically pleasing. Hindi pwede iyong chicken wire bus stops.

it will all start with discipline, maskina ano pa ilagay mo diyan pero kung walang disciplina both driver and passenger di gagana yan, and besides we have too many buses and too narrow roads

I agree with GH I remember Lee Kuan Yew saying that American Democracy does not work and is not realistic.. I believe him look at the Philippines now compared to Singapore.
