sa pagkaka-alam ko tubong cavite iyan tapos nag-college pa sa up. considering he's a pure tagalog, medyo pala-isipan nga kung bakit siya sumablay. but like what others here have mentioned, it just may not be his day

Sorry daw siya, and next time daw, di na daw siya magkakamali, FAULTLESS na daw next time. Anyone think there will be a next time? I doubt it!!! Its not like he was asked to sing it as if he was chosen among the crowd. He had all the time in the world to practice it.

    it's normal to make mistakes.

    Panatang Makabayan

    Original:

    "Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas.
    Ito ang aking lupang sinilangan.
Ito ang tahanan ng aking lahi.
    Ako'y kanyang kinukupkuop at tinutulungan
upang maging malakas, maligaya, at kapakipakinabang.

    Revised:
--As revised by the Department of Education under Secretary Raul Roco, via Department Order 54

"Iniibig ko ang Pilipinas, aking Lupang Sinilangan.
Tahanan ng aking lahi, kinukupkop ako at tinutulungan
upang maging malakas, masipag, at marangal.
    tutuparin ko ang tungkulin ng mamamayang makabayan;

Here's a thought for you guys: what if you got caught jaywalking by a cop who then, as a punishment, asks you to stand on the sidewalk and sing our national anthem under duress/stress? Can you be absolutely sure you can't forget the lyrics and sing the anthem in the right tone and lyric sequence? ;)

I know I can't because I got caught jaywalking before and I could not sing Lupang Hinirang without making a mistake.
I can, and I'm proud of it!!! Well, except for the correct tone part.

But if it happens in school and I'm asked to sing the school anthem... patay! (I've never memorized any of the anthems of any of the schools I've been through)

Anyway, nico's right. Let's give the guy slack. It's not the end of the world.
