Seems like it from what I've been reading. Wonder what he has in mind for that in the long term; i'm sure if he tears it down to build a hotel or some commercial building, that will face a protests by Baguio residents.

LSB, why not buy one of those old PCGG sequestered Marcos mansions on Outlook drive? Bagay na bagay sa mga chedeng.

Yeah, sadly indeed. The house next door to that, where we would stay before, had a Scout II and Ford LTD in the garage.

    Hi Guys,

What's the fastest way to Baguio nowadays? NLEX - SCTEX - TPLEX (puro dulo?). Is Kennon a good place to pass now?

One more thing, if I want to make to Cafe by the Ruins by around 11 am, would leaving Pasig at 530 be early enough?

    Thanks!

NLEX-SCTEX (Tarlac) - TPLEX - Macarthur (from Urdaneta to Rosario) - Kennon Road is the fastest. It takes 4-5 hours driving briskly without traffic, and one quick stopover.

Pwede 11am nandoon ka na pero better leave earlier just to be sure.

Yup, NLEX - SCTEX - TPLEX - Urdaneta - Kennon. 5:30 AM is early enough for an easy drive to make it to Cafe by the Ruins if it's not a peak holiday. The last time, it took me around an hour or so from TPLEX Rosales entrance to San Fernando Pampanga and i was mostly keeping the car at 110-120kph.

When TPLEX reaches Rosario, i can start doing Baguio day trips for lunch from Pampanga (with stopover sa Hacienda Boybi pa).

Andito pala ang mga haciendero! Hehehe!

Thanks for the inputs guys. Were actually also wanting to go to Baguio after Xmas. Buti na lang walang nahanap na accommodations -- grabe daw traffic! Hopefully it doesn't get that bad next week, starting on the 15th.

Vinj, pag nabuo ang TPLEX, mas mapapadalas ka pa sa Baguio. Hehehe! Breakfast run and back before lunch ;)

Hehehe! Classic... Well, with all the traffic and congestion nowadays, these highways are going to help bring the travel times back down.

Kinda reminds me of Cars' treatment of Route 66, and the freeways that came up. Hehehe!

Travel time last Jan 1 (started journey at 2 pm) from mindanao ave to end of tplex at urdaneta exit was less than 2 hours, walang pila sa toll gates. Travel time from exit of tplex at yesterday to mindanao ave smart connect was just over 2 hours, minimal pila sa toll gates. So yes kaya ng 4 hours ang baguio city via kennon.
