(sorry mods don't know where to post this.)

it will be my first time to drive all the way to baguio. most of the time eh passenger lang ako, so i don't pay much attention sa road, route, etc. tulog lang palagi sa biyahe.

    - any general or specific suggestions/tips or advisory regarding recent road works, re-routing, tourist traps?

    - suggest a route or itinerary para maikot ng matiwasay ang baguio city within 3 days?

    - pahiram ng road map ng baguio

    thanks.

You can buy Baguio maps in most gas stations. EZ Map ang may gawa. I think P75.00 lang each.

I just spent the past two weeks driving up and down Baguio because of my kids' summer classes. The police officer I spoke with said that number coding was suspended in the city until May 5.

Going up via Marcos Highway is IMO less stressful than doing it via Kennon, but I prefer taking Kennon for the downward trek.

When my kids were having their classes at UP Baguio, I would leave the car at the campus and walk all the way downtown just to kill time

OT: Kung sakaling gutumin o antukin kayo on your way to Baguio and you're near Urdaneta City, you're most welcome to drop by our coffee shop, La Pia Taza Cafe. Malapit lang kami sa welcome arch ng Urdaneta City, on the right side of the highway if you're northbound

Kaso, I wouldn't advise going through Urdaneta City unless you're passing by at night or very early in the morning.

kenon road closed today due to landslide ... Weather Watch | Facebook

PIA-CAR/BENGUET: Kennon Road is temporarily closed today due to series of rock and landslides caused by the continuous heavy rains of typhoon Helen. Joseph Flores of the DPWH-Cordillera said that at least three landslides are being cleared at Kennon Road particularly the sections at Twinpeaks in Camp 3, Klondykes and near the bailey bridge in Camp 1, all in Tuba, Benguet. Flores said that they are waiting for the additional heavy equipments from Camp 6 to help in the clearing operations in affected areas. Motorists are advised to use Marcos Highway or Naguillan Road going in and out of Baguio and Benguet until the road has been cleared of rock and mud.

went up to baguio yesterday via marcos hi-way, the road was ok for most part, damage was minor and won't delay travel

but a local friend who just travelled kenon road said "Avoid Kenon! Landslides have caused extensive damage!"

Gud pm sa lahat. We went to Baguio-Mountain Province last Wednesday and kakabalik lang namin kahapon. Ung may mga show ha, pampatanggal lamig. Mejo boring kc dun sa hotel pag gabi at nakakatamad maglibot dahil traffic. TIA

Lots of cheap hotels located on Legardo Rd. and Kisad rd. area. It's easier to get to Mines View, Camp John Hay from these areas, you don't have to pass through Session Rd..

Someone posted this before. Never been here though: Baguio Hotel? | Baguio Apartelle? | PINE BREEZE COTTAGES - Baguio City, Philippines

Try also checking online for houses for rent (Green Valley?).
