ginagawa pa lang yan up to last year when we went to see the place (we just went there to eat sana but they were charging the entrance fee e kakain lang kami sa restaurant). meron bang antique na hollow blocks? steel rebar? naah. modern materials lahat ang gamit. yung architecture lang ang old. i saw the construction of a few of the houses in progress that time. magmamahal ang pwet ng baso kung tunay na antique yung mga yun.

So maybe an outdoor activity is a better option.

Do some research about his interests or hobbies.

Sporty nga e! Nagpadala sakin ng picture, nag hike sa highest peak sa Germany. WTF! Sabi ko, mga fit lang nakakapunta dyan. Hindi pa naman ako fit! Sakit nga likod ko parati

I watched a feature on it sa GMA 7, mixture ata siya, yung iba from old houses talaga na ni transport there. Yung iba replica, yung hotel replica

mam cathy parang mahihirapan ka sa nov 1. isang cemetery lang daanan mo +1 hour na yun sa travel time nyo. intramuros na lang on nov 1. old walled city, san agustin and manila cathedral. but i think you should call first if they are open. how about yung guided tour?
LOL at the fake German Castle! hahahaha!

Carlos Celdran ata P1300 daw per person saka wala ata schedule ng Nov 1. Do they normally close the church ba pag Nov 1? May okay ba na place for lunch around Intramuros?

Those are real antique houses in las casas. They were transported there.

Nov.1 dont even bother with the traffic. He will hate the hassle. Better if you take him out on the later dates that you mentioned.

oh! I assumed November 1 Manila will be clear of traffic. I didn't know because normally I don't go out on November 1.

+1 on Intramuros tour on Nov. 1

Usually open ang San Agustin and Manila Cathedral... at pwede pa extend Luneta Park and Malate Church.

For sure lesser traffic than usual since wala naman malapit na cemetery sa area.

If Tagaytay tour parang view lang ng Taal Lake. For lunch, you can try Antonio’s or Balai Dako (by Antonio’s ; cheaper than Antonio’s). Great food but you have to wait for at least an hour to be seated and other hour for the food.

    BTW, how old is he?

I think he's in his mid to late 30s. I'm shy to ask his age hehe

Had the same *er* problem several months ago. Same nationality, same age group. Client was here for about 2 weeks.

    Hits:

    • Speakeasy bar hop (we went to ABV and then 20:20) after having dinner at Locavore
    • Carlos Celdran's "Walk this way" tour (definitely a hit) then Ippudo in Robinsons
    • Late dinner (11pm) then drinks at a small club (we went to Time at about 1am)
    • Irie Sunday at B-side (great diverse crowd)
    • Kamayan beach in Subic (jetskis were a definite hit) + meeting a snake and tiger in Zoobic
    • Walking around in Greenhills and then dinner at Sugi (weekday to avoid traffic)
    • Kababs at Hossein's, Royal Indian Curry House (Naan, Lassi Yoghurt, ask the waitress for help on others)

    Misses:

    • Villa Escudero (it rained and traffic was terrible)
    • Girly bar at Makati Ave (music was terrible and too many girls came to our table because we had a tall white dude)
    • Ayala museum (not a museum fan after all)
    • Malate (definitely a low point going here, avoid it)
    • Resorts World (not into casinos)
    • Chinese food at Resorts World
    • Handlebar, H and J, El Chupacabra (Makati Ave in general was a bust)
    • Dinner at Blackbird (overrated food and wine wasn't that good either)
    • Malls

    Hope this helps!

Agree with VK on Carlos Celdran. Foreigners find his antics funny yet educational. Also on Nov 1, try the cemetery and point out the EJK victims' names. Europeans would love to report it back to the euro CHR.

I guess it still counts as original.

Though I honestly don't agree with the entrance fee na P 1,500.

Tapos daan na din kayo sa Mt. Samat. 😄

Are you serious or are you trolling?

Why would my boss be interested in Divisoria? Kung babae yan, pwede pa, but still I will not take a foreigner or balikbayan there in the BER months. I just came home from 168 and traffic was a nightmare. It was so crowded, madadala ka na lang sa tulak.
