Why would my boss be interested in Divisoria? Kung babae yan, pwede pa, but still I will not take a foreigner or balikbayan there in the BER months. I just came home from 168 and traffic was a nightmare. It was so crowded, madadala ka na lang sa tulak.

husband of my mother in law is an american soldier pero avid photographer, i brought him sa hidalgo sa quiapo, nag commute kami, pag baba namin sa LRT sa sta cruz, people where peeing sa landing ng stairs, ang taas ng basura, ang baho! told him this is the real manila, i didnt bring him to the malls, boring dun....syempre we took a jeep and pediab also....he keeps on asking me why guards keep on frisking everyone...at what is balut/kwek kwek...

I- akyat nya na lang ng taal volcano kung tagaytay lang naman din kasi avid mountain climber daw. easy climb lang naman iyon so walang problema kay cathy, even more so for her guest. I'm sure he's going to like it.

scary but fun, did that riding a small horse, suprised ako na kaya nila mag jump up/down ledges with no problems....pag dating sa taas there is a small sari sari store...ok sya i trek pero depends on the weather and fitness level ng individual...if too hot, ill pass...

Agree bro, not her job. But most of my wife's foreign bosses expect that. Kasama halos the whole day for up to a week tapos yung deadline ng deliverables di naman nababago. ��

Isip ko na lang if you treat them well here siguro naman they will be more amicable to you pagbalik nila sa HQ.

I was thinking of Taal but I DO NOT want to ride a boat or a horse. Also, that will probably take the whole day. May magandang Church ata near Taal?

I was thinking mas maganda sa twin lakes pag photos and mas walang tao.

Nandoon din yung "most beautiful" (daw) starbucks.

May other choices ka pa aside from starbucks.

Napagusapan nga naming ng boss ko. Sabi niya I shoud not feel guilty na I did not offer to take him out during the holiday.

Honestly, asar talaga ako kasi it's supposed to be my boss na uuwi sa Manila. But I think everyone who visits a foreign office expects the locals to entertain them. Hirap lang kasi nag iisa ako na tao niya sa Manila.

I decided not to take him out anymore on Oct 31 and Nov 1. Sa Nov 4 (Sat) and 5 (Sun) na lang. I don't really want to do this, I feel like it's still work for me. Weekends and holidays are sacred to me, alam ng lahat ng tao sa office na I would rather die that go to work on a holiday or a weekend.

BUT it's a visiting VP So I have to make this sacrifice

Hindi pwede. Personal expense samin if we want to entertain visiting management from HQ.

Higpit ng cost cutting samin kaya yung mga for reimbursement, I don't bother with it anymore kasi ang dami pang procedure. Example, whenever I call for a meeting, I serve snacks (pizza or donuts), personal expense ko din yun.

Just to share, I had a meeting with a service provider from Australia this morning. He’s in his late 40’s, and it’s his first time here in PH.

He arrived yesterday morning and had the whole day roaming around Manila. From his stories, he enjoyed and appreciated walking around Intramuros area, Luneta Park, Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church. He went on a DIY city tour, hehe! He just complained the hot weather, but thanked there are nearby malls to cool down. He has been to Robinson’s and MOA.

He also tried balot, isaw, and other street foods. And he liked the balot!

His flight back is still 6pm tomorrow, so he asked me about the Taal Island Volcano trek. I advised him to stay in Tagaytay tonight, then have the trek to Taal Crater early morning tomorrow.

Well, according to him those are the things/places to do/visit suggested by a European friend (from Croatia) who already been here.

And wait, he still have to try the Red Horse beer tonight. It is also in his list, hahaha! And another half dozen of balot!

Cathy, I think the Intramuros tour and the Taal Trek is the way to go!

kasi sa philippine beers lang sila nalalasing ng totoo and red horse has the highest alcohol content among local beers. yung beers kasi sa ibang bansa karamihan nasa 3% lang yan, isang jingle lang tanggal na manhid sa panga. san mig pale pilsen is at 5%, red horse has 6.9%.
