just wanna ask is there any way or modifications i can make sa engine or any other parts ko to save gas?

im only getting 8.5 km/l , only 20% of it ang stop and go lahat highway, ako lang sakay ng auto walang heavy loads, 40% lang and a/c use sa bawat trip, slight open windows lang pag 'di naka a/c. pag pwde salida neutral mode nalang.

btw engine is 4g92 lancer glxi '97 w/ 120k+ sa mileage

    eto seryoso:

    1. pa-tono mo makina mo
    2. palitan mo all 6-8 liters of your ATF! including the filter inside
    3. palitan mo ng MT

Basing from the description of your car I'd say that there's very little here you can do .

A Lancer glxi '97 at 120k mileage is rather old. Maybe you can give it a good tune-up. Automatics always consume more than stick shifts even if they are brand new, how much more for an old one?

If you can sell it and get a smaller displacement second hand, manual type then I think you can be better off.

lower friction (narrower) tires would help get slightly more fuel mileage.

    would you consider using LPG?

Well LPG units IMHO can also run in GAS so you can travel to the nearest LPG station.

I think the thread starter is from Batangas and there are no lpg stations there.

dont step on the gas too much, maintain a sensible rpm rate so fuel consumption be regulated to optimum

i think 8.5/L is good enough (except if all you do is highway driving. para kang galant niyan).

    replace ATF first
tune up, and adjust valve clearance
    maintain correct tire pressure
