    Newbie here mga sir...Nag bliblink ang O/D ( isuzu bighorn subic a/t 4jG2 engine 3.i) pag start,konting diin lang sa accelerator as in konti lang hindi na cya nagbliblink. Ung idle nya nsa 900 pag nasa 1000 nwawala na ung blink ng O/d light...is there something wrong ba? Salamat mga sir

    does your transmission shift normally to all gears including overdrive? your system might have detected an out of range reading from the sensor/s.
    is your vehicle equipped with throttle by wire accelerator?
    areas to check: throttle position sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor and the vehicle speed sensor (VSS). your vehicle might have two VSSs. does your speedometer work properly?

    thank you sir..the shifting is smooth so far...i have been observing the o/d..i do have high rpms...say at 80kph the rpm is around 2800...sorry sir for my ignorance, where can i locate the tps and the sensors( vss ) ..is there a way i can or a good auto shop that can address and fix it. thank u very much

    at that engine speed, you are stuck to third gear ( no overdrive and no lock up of the torque converter clutch (TCC). the tps is on the intake throttle body connected directly to the opposite end of the shaft where the throttle cable quadrant is. the vss is located on the final drive of the transmission closest to the output shaft. the ect sensor is located closest to the thermostat. by the way, do you have a working thermostat?

    Yes sir..the thermostat is working. if i locate the sensors what shall i do? I cant really find a good mechanic around here ( sa province po ako, nueva vizcaya).thank u

    There was a service caravan fro isuzu cauayan ( isabela) to a nearby town in our province today. Brought the isuzu bighorn there. i told them about the problem ( doesnt engage in 4th gear and O/d ) and the blinking o/d sign. The mechanic moved the tps ( which i thought ) hindi na nagbblink ung 0/d sign. A few test drive, hindi talaga nagwowork ung 4th gear and O/D...They told me ung valve body daw ang may sira..hanap daw ng surplus- ung buong valve body with sensors...

    have somebody who knows do the testing. guessing makes your attempt to correct the problem more expensive with trial and error (usually error and error)

    further testing on the wirings revealed a grounded solenoid . The tcm output is just 8 volts...am i correct that this is below the normal voltage? where can i get a surplus tcm?

    some modules are outputting 5volts or 8 volts it could be normal on your tcm. you need an information sytem or a manual to verify that.

    Hi Ted since parehas tayo ng problem as I shared already my experience to you might as well share this in this forum para sa iban tsikoter dito.

    First of all thanks for Ramon aka 4jg2totsie for giving me the contact of Weng of BALTAK. I went kaninang umaga sa baltak and they checked my trans bakit walang 4th gear aka OD. They jacked up my rear and ran it talagang wlang 4th gear sabi nila ok naman yung trans kasi okay shift to 1-2-3 so therefore they conclude electrical problem. They called BOY sya doon yung pinakamagaling sa electrical pagdating sa transmission. Okay wait until 9AM and boy arrived and checked/diagnosed the problem. Ang tingin ko sa kanya mukang expert talaga pagdating sa transmission electrical sa mdaling salita nasolve niya problem ko. He is very honest naman na hindi sira ang TCM ko kasi yung qoute sakin ni Weng 12K nakup mahal pala. kaya Im so satisfied na nagawa ang problem ko it almost 2 years na etong problem ko. yun lang pala solution. If you have problem I recommend Boy for electrical problem and BALTAC for transmission checkup kasi honest sila na hindi problema yung transmission ko biruin mo 30K yung surplus ng transmission. Although I brought already money kanina incase yung ang problema and im so happy dahil it cost only me 4.5K for electrical solution. Okay na yun hindi na ako tumawad kasi successful yung gawa hindi patsamba tsamba. Hope makatulong ako sa inyo.

    Contact no. of Boy 09105815076 mas okay kung siya na agad kontakin niyo kasi dumaan p ako sa BALTAK meron din syempre cut sila doon hehehe pero ayus lang sila naman contact ni Boy pagdating sa electrical.

    advise ko sir, pacheck mo sa transmission specialist na to...mura lang maningil at ieexplain sayo at bibigyan ka ng options...tapos sya na maghahanap ng parts…hindi ka rin dadayain….mapagkakatiwalaan…wala syang shop pero sa house lang nila gagawin kaya walang charge sa pwesto…ung sakin iniwan ko ung sassakyan at wala naman nawala...aalagaan nya talaga yung tiwala ng customer…sabihin mo lang refer ka ni marvi...

    paps boyteddy, any update? I suggest you try Mr. Boy for electricals and Mr. Teng for Mechanical of BALTAK, maayos sila kausap and hindi mandaraya. Had my Throttle Cable installed by Baltak c/o Teng and they tested my unit to verify if adjustment of cable is correct and if O/D is functioning. So far satisfied ako sa kanila.

    Mr. Rey is also ok pero malayo sya, taga Novaliches kasi... happy to share
