Honda Jazz/City CVT Problems. Anyone?

SUYSUY, what is your problem why cant you post in jazzcity? nakakalog in ka na ba dun? kapag nakapag log in ka na, go to help desk then post your questions there...

yap it seems ikaw lang may problem a CVT.

i have 2006 City CVT pero smooth pa rin and no issues ever been encountered...

anyway, my car has been in the casa for 4 days na and they are passing a report daw sa head office. i hope ma aayos na problema ko.

suy, try mo itxt yung cp number sa home page about sa issue ng website. palagay ko hindi CVT ang problem ng oto...palagay ko lang yun ha....

Suy, di ba ang problem mo is low rpm at kumadyot kamo...ito yung original problem mo di ba?

1. pag low rpm ang alam ko kc sa ecu programming kelangan ireprogram.
2. possible din na may patay kang sparkplug or coil
3. vtech yung engine mo di ba? yung sa friend ko na vitech nung nagdadrop rpm nya ang problem pala ay ang aircon system nya.
4. I just think na walang kinalaman sa CVT yung problem mo. Kapag ba naka neutral eh mababa pa rin ba ang RPM mo until now?
5. Sa intake mo, ok ba airfilter mo?

mga basic at simple things muna ichecheck ko if i am in your shoes...anyway im just trying to help...

wala pang official reports ang casa. but i think they already know the probs. only the head office knows if ano ba talaga. they are still checking it up to now. palagay ko naubos na yung half tank ko hehe sa kakatest drive

yes recurring ang problema and progressively worsened.

yes, i repeat, there was a time when the engine stalled. its when i reversed, then back to D. sobrang nginig ng makina at namatay. i really think its the start stop clutch thing that has gotten kapooof.

the engine brake feel is severe! so severe. its like its stuck on a low gear when lifting your foot off the gas. normally it should still coast and slow down smoothly. pero hindi, its like you are actually applying brakes.

brakes are ok. no stuck calipers. spark plugs are ok. oils are ok. all ok. and when going on a slope, the rpm rises and the car refuses to go faster!!! it really wont go faster not even a single digit. it takes you to 20kph only. and when its already there, the car seems to engage it neutral. meaning, youll lurch forward again kasi wala na yung "engine brake"

and di pa tapos, when you have enough momentum (30kph) the engine brake then again engages, rpm rises, speed decreases to 20kph then again and again ang cycle.

see how much headache its causing me.

kung patag man ang kalsada, di mo na kelangan tapak ng brake. gas lift gas lift lang.

and there is this super thug sound sa harapan when the rpm drops tooooo low like 200rpm, the whole car shakes like a devil then thug sound. parang rubber band na pinitik sa loob then the rpm insanely rises to 1500 briefly then back to 200rpm then nginig nanaman. minsan it stays at 200 to 300 rpm without the thug sound but then parang anemic na ang engine. nanginginig parin kasi ang baba ng idle

kapag neutral 500 ang idle. low parin. kapag meron AC 750. i dont know if this is normal 500 without ac and 750 with ac

so much headache. ultimo neurons ko namamatay na

just got my car. no job was done. but the car is under warranty process. next year pa ata ito. buong assembly daw ang papalitan. whew. i asked how much, nasa 285k daw if i remember correctly. buti nalang warranty pa. i want a new city exchanged hehe

i just finished the stall speed test. D S L positions are out of spec. R is within specifications.

FYI, stall speed for L15A1 is 2,500 and service limit is at 2350-2650 rpm. if you want to have a service manual, i have a copy.

but the SA told me that the whole tranny will be replaced when the warranty process is approved. yum

parang naka hang ka pa rin sir, eh pano kung hinde na approve? mabagal ang action nila, kung sa akin siguro nangyari yan i will demand a new unit replacement. update mo na lang kami sir. sana nga ma approve and claims at maayos na ang ride niyo, sarap pa naman niyan 1.5 vtec . happy new year!!

base sa records niyo kelan niyo nakita yung unang problema, more than a year na ba? if yes, then sobrang bagal nga ng honda. sana maayos na ang problema ng city niyo. happy new year.

anung nagyari na po d2? sa lancer namin pinalitan buong tranny solve ang problema. samin naman pag umarangkada ka bigla ma puputol rinig mo ung kalampagan sa tranny hahaha.. grabe katakot. pero ok na napalitan na and nabenta na yung car.. hehehe...

the unit was really defective.. hirap sa mga casa dito sa pinas kulang ang knowledge sa mga products nila ang alam lang magbenta!! dapat pag may ganyan problem lalo na hindi ma identify eh palitan nila..

OT: *suysuy, diba kaw din yung may kia rio na trade in mo for a kia sorento?? sana yung honda city na lang trade in mo.. para wala ka na sakit sa ulo.. hirap ata pabalik balik sa casa..

still awaiting for the warranty claim process. hopefully next week. buong tranny papalitan. as of now, the tranny is really slipping. ayaw umurong ng sasakayan dapat aabot muna ng 2k rpm bago uurong konti. but once nakatakbo na, ok na arangkada.

hehe di pwede hindi kia ang itrade in. tsaka this car is really my personal ride hehe tsaka i love CVT talaga kaso natyempuhan ata ako ng depektib na unit hehe. tsaka lahat ng ibang sasakyan sa parents ko yun eh and my car is far the most fuel efficient among all kahit sira ang tranny lol.
