ok lang ba yung replacement na piyesa for my clutch system (clutch
cover, pressure plate, release bearing) or should i go casa? ok na
din ba ang performance/quality ng mga replacement? any feedback sa mga
naka gamit na ng replacement for their clutch assembly my car is an

based on experience ok ang replacement sa gas engine, wag lang sa diesel. yun ingay ng release bearing ang evident pag replacement ang ginamit mo sa diesel ride. for replacement part buy the popular brands such as asco. ewan ko yun denki kung ok siya.

I've always used OEM pamalit sa clutch disk, pressure plate, etc, so ewan ko kung ok ang replacement.

The one time I used replacement parts for anything clutch-related was for a master repair kit. Nothing but trouble! Pag mainit na yung makina, tumutukod sya, making the clutch slide. It's like always stepping on your clutch halfway, hindi nga lang nangangawit yung paa mo. Umayos lang when I changed it back to OEM.

OEM is the best. You don't necessarily have to get it from the CASA if you know what an original part looks like or if you have a trusted parts source.

Still, there are reputable replacement brands as previously mentioned.

pag ganyan type ng parts papalitan mo, i would suggest getting OEM din para sigurado ka tatagal yung part. hindi masakit sa ulo.

any idea kung magkano ang price sa casa? talaga bang recommended na isang
set na ang papalitan pag dating sa clutch or yung sira lang, may nag suggest
kasi saken na palitan ko na lahat..medyo ok pa naman yung clutch ko, pero pag akyatan na especially kung naka bitin ka medyo mahirap ng timplahin...

sir i suggest go for OEM parts since clutch is one major mechanical parts of our car.

A full set replacement is often recommended because the labor cost of taking down a transmission is quite high and takes quite a bit of time.

full set na.isipin mo, pag nasira ang release bearing mo pull down transmission ulet. usually pag ganyang major preventive maintenance work, palit talaga lahat. mas matipid sha in the long run. halos pare-parehas lang naman ang life ng parts na yan eh.

and by the way kung sa labas ka pwde na din isama ang mga oil seals na palitan sa engine and transmission.. same labor cost kasi down transmission kasi yan.

... agree ako dyan. what i did naman was i had it serviced sa autotechnika sa fairview pero ako buli ng parts. it'll cost you less

original MMC (Mitsubishi) = P3655
genuine daikin-exeedy brand (japan replacement) = P1,150

pressure plate:
original MMC = P3950
genuine daikin-exeedy brand = 1,475

release bearing:
MMC = P1475.
genuine NGK = P655.

labor P800 (kay Raymond Sarol)
replacement na lang binili ko. so far, so good naman.

Exedy also manufactures clutches for motorsport/racing applications. I'm not sure how good their more basic clutches are.

Mga Sirs,

Would like to know more about the "master repair kit" for the clutch. 1st time for me to hear about it.

1) How often is it replaced and what are the signs that it needs replacement? My ride will be 10 years old this Oct. and i'd like it to be always ready for long drives.

2) Are there any reputable replacement brands for this or is OEM still the best option?

3) How much would it cost (labor and materials?)

The repair kit is applicable only if your clutch is hydraulically activated, eg. doesn't use a cable. Hanapin mo yung clutch fluid reservoir mo, the repair kit is essentially the innards of that assembly.

I don't think this is a regular maintenance type thing, you replace it when you experience problems like the clutch not disengaging or disengaging fully when you step on the pedal, leaking assembly, etc. My current ride's with me for more than 4 years already, hindi ko pa nagagalaw tong part na to and doesn't look like the previous owner did either.

The repair kit I was referring to in my earlier post was for a previous ride, a Corolla XL 91. It was P480 back in '99, ewan ko kung magkano na ngayon. Didn't keep track of how much the replacement was, pero mga P250 lang yata.
