A clutch problem?

I hope someone can enlighten me on this one. Several weeks ago, I felt a "drag" pag nag primera. After a while pag mainit na ang engine, nawawala naman. Following my dad's advice pina check ko sa mechanic niya and eventually pinalitan ang clutch disk. Okey pa naman daw ang iba. Anyway, bumalik ang problema after a couple of days. The mechanic repaired the " master" (by repair kit) kasi may tama na daw ang mga goma. The next day, back to the same problem. Yun lang naman pag malamig ang makina. Pag mainit naman ay nawawala din. Ngayon, gusto niya ma check ang distributor, pero nakakainis na. Anyone suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

What is your definition of drag? Describe the noise that accompanies the drag?

Actually there's no noise but a kind of hesitation on the engine's part to move the vehicle forward in a smooth way. Parang kumakadyot kumbaga.

dapat pinalitan na rin ang pressure plate, usually when you work on the clutch system sinasama na yan para isang labor na lang. symptoms din kasi ng gastadong pressure plate yang description mo eh.

have the mechanic check the pressure plate and release bearing, as well as the trannny oil (baka wala na sa kalahati)gear oil performs best at certain temperature and pressure (warm, that is)...pag malamig pa ang makina and the tranny gears for this matter, di pa viscuous ang oil in between the gears...that may explain the 'drag' that comes and goes as the engine warms up...if after all the fixing ganun pa din, pwede din yung engine mismo ang may problem since you mentioned hesitation...

Pasintabi lang po sa thread starter, baka naman pwedeng sumingit...

Ganito rin kasi ang problema ko, plus hirap pang humatak kapag paakyat or pag mag-oovertake. Ang sabi sa akin ng mekaniko sa Shell 2 weeks ago nung nagpa tune-up/change oil/change timing belt ako e patingin ko nga daw yung clutch at malamang naandun ang problema.

Any tsikoteer na pwedeng magrekomenda ng mahusay na clutch repair shop somewhere in Marikina or Cubao/Quezon City na hindi presyong casa kung maningil?
