    Sir,

    i have this problem where gear shiftings seems to be delayed.

    this happens when im on 55~60kph. normally this will shift on 3rd? 4th? 9im not sure

    but during that range...parang hirap siyang kumagat. then my RPM will boost. hanggang sa kumagat.

    my mechanic say it might be the transmission filter needs to be clean?

    eto lang ba? my worry ako baka may tama na yung transmission ko eh.

    but i noticed na di naman palaging ganun. minsan ok naman minsan hindi.

    cleaning lang ba yun o replacement na? how much ang replacement and labor.

    try changing your ATF and filter 1st. Hopefully it will solve the problem.

    bro, try changing your fluid and filter first before the whole transmission. had the same problem before and it worked for me, might work for you too. mura lang naman ATF.

    that was my problem before.

    try to replace atf and filter first........
    if problem persists, you have to change the clutch of the a/t.
    parang mga plates lang yun........usually this is the remedy kung sa 3rd or 4th gear ang hirap pumasok. delikado kung 1st and second. internal clutch na ang may tama nun.

    kung may shift shock naman.........damay mo na rin ang valve body.

    hindi na kailangan ibaba yung tranny mo dun...........yun yung tinatawag nilang dukot.

    me i just had my transmission replaced.......bang for the pocket talaga.

    I've change my ATF yesterday. 2 time pa nga para talaga malinis.

    ang problem ko..ala daw tramission filter ang 96 Honda Vti? totoo ba?

    so ang nangyari ganun pa rin ang shifting ko. hirap pa rin sa 3~4 gear.

    so far ok naman ang 1st and 2nd gear.

    hey bros, ganun din car ko, hirap magshift to 3rd and 4th. yung 3rd kumakagat pa, yung 4th parang ayaw talaga. di ko pa mabirit kasi bagong overhaul. i tried flushing the atf twice (once kay joseph atotubo and once sa autotechnika sa fort through transtech) pero ayaw pa rin magshift. magkano kaya clutch pads and filter para sa pajero ko? what else can i check to figure out the problem? thanks buys.

    did this problem started after bagong overhaul?

    did they touch the injection pump governor? kung kulang kasi power, it will cause delay, and shift shocks...

    try testing by running it with your shift cable (the cable after your accelerator cable) slackened up to half.... and see what happens... if nothing happens, just return it back...

    Hello to everyone.
    I'm a newbie but have been browsing around this site as a guest the past month and a half. There's just so much info you can get without even logging in. I bought a 93 Irmscher Big horn and all works well except that my tranny (a/t) sometimes doesnt shift soon enough i.e. at the 2 to 2.2k rpm but rather in the 3k plus range. Sometimes it will down shift after it has already shifted up. othertimes it would work flawless. great acceleration and you wouldnt even feel the shifting.

    I was following the thread of one member Attic_dude who seem to have the same problem with the same vehicle but turned out that it all happened in 2003 and the outcome of all the other members suggestions were never posted. does anybody know if hes still around? Am really curious on how he solved the problem.

    Also, is there a section in the site that specializes on BIG HORNS? There seem to be a lot of discussions regarding this ride a few years ago but cant seem to find any recently.

    Appreciate any help you can extend.

    Kabukeo >>>> sir gamitin mo Castro ATF the best .... I had same experience with you ....kaya lang lancer ang ride ko.... before ginagamit ko other brand na ATF pero nung nagpalit ako ng castrol gumanda ang takbo pati shifting niya........ medyo mataas na konti ang price sa other brand...

    try niyo yung ATF dialysis - papalitan lahat-lahat-lahat ng fluid ng a/t niyo. :D

    search na lang dito sa tsikot. transtech yata tawag.

    guys make sure you use the correct ATF in your tranny.

    I believe we don't need to change the filter unless harsh, stressed (hauling, towing) ang transmission natin..

    depende sa filter and car manufacturer. Yung kotse ko specified sa manual to replace filter and atf at 80,000 kms. Alam ko may kotse na reusable ang ATF filters.

    if it's a metallic screen lang then it's reusable.
