September 16th, 2014 09:59 PM #1Hello mga sir! I have a Nissan Exalta Grandeur 02 A/T. My problem is minsan hindi nagsshift from 1st gear to second gear yung transmission kahit inaabot na ng 4k yung RPM sa tachometer. Then minsan bigla naman siya magdown-shift then hindi na mag-upshift. Most of the time pati nangayayari siya kapag galing yung kotse sa matagal na pahinga (overnight na di nagamit). Then after I re-start the car, nawawala na ulit yung problem. I had it checked yesterday and hindi daw sliding yung tranny sabi nung mechanic. Ano pa kaya pwedeng maging cause nung problem sa tranny? Salamat!

Have it scanned muna to isolate possible electrical problems. Anong fluid pala ginamit mo?

Ilan na mileage? Last resort you should do is to try atf dialysis using Nissan Matic D fluid. Otherwise change to surplus na lang.

before blaming the TCM or PCM, check the inputs first. remember in computer lingo GIGO? in the inputs are not within range, the output will be garbage. check if the MIL is on and/or the O/D light is flashing. the inputs to the transmission control includes but is not limited to : throttle sensor, engine coolant temperature sensor, vehicle speed sensor, the O/D request switch, transmission oil temperature sensor and some other malfunctioning systems of the powertrain or engine control that would place it under "limp" mode.
