You can thank the boys from the Bases Conversion and Development for that. They prevented the completion of the roadway in front of SM AURA which would have eased the traffic.

BGC already have too many stoplights that cause cars to move slowly through the area. You end up driving only one to two blocks before encountering another red stoplight. And that does not yet include the traffic along the main roads.

Kinda backward for a CBD that was designed fairly recently. How they designed the roads and layouts are such traffic flow stoppers.

They designed the road and intersections like city blocks resulting in the need for traffic lights every intersection. The area lacks any sort of main road network to help move cars through the entire area quickly. Actually it used to have it but the said main road network are not anymore being used as intended.

    Example:
    - McKinley Road and Mckinley Parkway is not anymore directly accessible to each other without a major traffic filled detour through 5th Ave.
    - 32nd and 5th Ave are full of stop lights which cycle rather slowly... takes at least 15 minutes to travel a distance that used to take less than five minutes before.
    - lack of roads that bypass the entire BGC commerical area causes increase in car traffic that could have been avoided.
    - lack of more access roads to enter/exit the BGC area creates narrow points of congestion at peak traffic times.
    - The BGC still have many roads that are closed to the public. These should be opened to help bypass traffic from overloaded roads while major re-planning is done to fix the above mentioned problems.

Yeah it's key to have some sort of bypass road so that folks who don't intend to congest the main bgc go on past, while the folks who have business inside go about without having to deal with passers-by.

Agree... and they should train their traffic enforcers in PROPER traffic management, wag lang sila lagi mag aangas at idisplay ang mga m4a1 at shotgun nila.. pansin ko lang kasi pag sila nagta traffic lalong tuma trafik... style nila iniipon lahat hanggang sa humaba na ang pila sa ibang lanes..

I heard from my office mate that it is too crowded. I'll check it out when the crowd grows thin... if that will happen?

I had a dinner around The Fort area tonight, so I checked on SM Aura before heading to my destination. BGC wasn't crowded except for the streets that surround the mall.

Getting to park alone, however, took me around 30-45 minutes. The line was incredibly long and incredibly slow paced. But looking for a parking spot was fairly easy, but not cheap. P45/first three hours + 10/succeeding hour.

When I got to the mall it was just pure madness. People was literally everywhere.

Left the mall after 10 minutes of looking at nothing. But before I went out, I took a pic...

    Never again.

Renzo, that's the normal rate at the Fort. Sa Fort Strip it's expensive at P45 first 3 hrs then P20 for the succeeded hour.

Mas makapal pa tao sa 168 Meron bang Landmark diyan sa SM Aura na kailangan dayuhin?

Maybe after a couple of months, we will see once all the "new" mall crazed people have seen and gone.

SM Annex is just a building/part of the whole SM North EDSA.

If you mean high end because it's new, yes, fresh look and design, very cold, too.

As for the shops, I don't see the high end aspect there since the shops are just similar to the others, although they have an activity center there where they held Cosplays and Tech events.
