residents of Forbes/Dasma don't feel the McKinley traffic until the last portion - traffic light crossing 5th Avenue and EDSA (whether to Ayala or Pasay Road). they can navigate inside and just come out of the gate nearest Fort or EDSA.
I can see the 2nd level of the S&R parking lot from my cube and right now it has lots of space. The only time I noticed it was full was during the grand sale they had a month or two ago.
The open parking lots scattered around BGC are full though and there's a queue of cars waiting outside each of them. No idea about Parkade 1 and 2 but they get full too.
Bakit naging grabe na traffic Sa flyover to makati? Kahit maaga pa...

Volume lang talaga. 3 options to get from C5 to Makati: Kalayaan (jeep and trike and jaywalkers and talipapa), flyover (bottleneck at Paseo stoplight), and McKinley (diggings and daredevil riders). Nakadagdag din sa flyover mess yung mga papuntang EDSA. May 2 stoplights sa ilalim ng tulay. Dagdagan mo pa ng FX, trike, etc.
*JohnM nightmare talaga parking sa BGC.
One time I had to wait in line for 1.5 hrs! I was able to track this because I sent a text message to my friends saying that I am waiting in line for a slot, when I texted them that I finally got a slot, 1.5 hrs have elapsed. I used to think Greenhills had the worst queue, BGC na pala. Sometimes I park at S&R na lang and walk to where I need to go.
*shadow, I agree with JohnM, volume na talaga.
The irony of this is in Makati CBD, they immediately tow any PRIVATE vehicle on certain roads after 5pm... doesnt matter if it's moot given that the jollijeeps are still there on the other slots anyway.
You can also park at St. Lukes BGC BTW. Around P 45 for the first two hours.
Worst case Market Market na parking mo. Haven't tried parking there on weekdays though. On Sundays apaw ang oto dyan.
And to think na 5 years ago libre ang open parking dyan sa may Embassy![]()
Na-trafik ang tow truck
May umaaligid na rin na tow truck dito sa BGC pero so far isa pa lang napansin ko and di pa sya sing-rabid ng the Makati CBD crocs.
Nga pala avoid parking near buildings under construction if possible. One of our OC gurus had his car (along with quite a few others) coated with cement that came from a burst pipe. Basag windshield and gasgas lahat ng panels. Kaka-park lang nya and nasa loob pa sya ng oto when that happened.

medyo full din ang parking ng Market! Market! pag weekdays...usually, makakakuha ka ng parking sa pinakataas na...yung open/roofless area...
With regard tow trucks, yes, mahigpit na sila ngayon...bawal na magpark sa side street ng matagal...
Never pa Ako nahirapan mag park Sa market market ng weekdays, they should fix this traffic mess ASAP, Paano na Kung nag open SM...eh di mas patay na...
stickers for residents na Lang kasi and legit working Sa BGC, mga amuyong huwag na padaain tumatawid Lang ng BGC eh

*JohnM, lalo na nung panahon ng Fat Willy's, lahat ng parking libre at walang traffic lights :P
Has anyone tried parking sa one/two parkade? Same rate din ba?
You could add JP Rizal as an alternate route. From Kalayaan or even BGC, just turn right 8th Avenue/Lawton going towards JP Rizal then turn left. Either go up EDSA or Power Plant or straight to Makati Ave.
Another would be Chino Roces Ave. Extension if you work at the southern part of Makati CBD (Legaspi Village) but I'm not sure how bad the traffic there during rush hours.
